Economy Inn Los Banos

The beauty of the courtyard was matched by the exceptional appearance and perfect yet simple functionality of my room. All the things one needs for a comfortable night's rest were there in a lush mini-oasis setting. In a land of drab/downright ugly accommodations for motorist, the Los Banos Economy Inn is a small beauty and a charm. Clearly the owners have an exceptional eye for both landscape gardening, creating lush perfection in the courtyard. The spotless room showed equal skill both for design and execution in remodeling what I guess to be a 1960 vintage motel. A work of true art!

More than one waste basket would be nice.

The architecture and designs were very pretty and interesting. Loved the decor and greenery in front of the office. WiFi was also better than expected.

The beds were very average, comfy at first but woke up with a back ache.

Did not like Cockroach’s broken bed centipedes tv remote didn’t work couldn’t turn down loud volume on tv 2 reception ladies was rude when trying to get towels and wash clothes for 4 people booked in the room room was so small couldn’t open the door Barely enough to get into the room. I liked that the owner showed up so I could talk to him about the issues. The maids couldn’t speak or underlies at all to get toilet paper and towels from. I liked that the shower head was high enough for tall people.

I didn’t like cockroaches and centipedes on the floor. Tv remote didn’t not work and you couldn’t turn down the very loud volume. Broken bed that tilted so bad your feet were higher than your head. Street noise was very loud. Rude staff receptionist

Staff are always knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The architectural style inside and out, along with the landscaping, adds a touch of individuality not found in chain motels. The room is comfortable, has a fridge and microwave, plenty of hot water and parking is right out front. Economy Inn is conveniently located and a perfect base for visiting the Merced National Wildlife Refuge.

Stayed in Los Banos for a friend’s birthday party and this was the closest hotel at a convenient price. I can’t complain. Bed was full size for just one person shower was spacious and the bathroom had the simple amenities of towels and soap. Thank God the heater was working on that cold night. It got too hot at one point. I’ll def book again next time I’m in the area.

Parking is a bit tight.
