Budget Inn Fort Stockton

The staff was great. The bed seemed clean and the room was tidy.

The carpet had weird sticky spots and the room smelled like something rotten. There were (what looked like) blood spatter in the corner on wall by tub. Tub had dark brownish stains under the edges of the non slip stickers on bottom of tub. Mirrors were really dirty and the light switch plates were very very dirty. The bathroom door had been broken and repaired... Looked like it had been kicked in. The room made me think about true crime shows where you guess, "was it murder, suicide or accident" I have photos !

The bed (King) was comfortable. The room was quite clean, except for a couple strands of small hair found in the bathroom. There were no bugs, except for the ones trying to fly into the room. It had a fridge and microwave which was convenient as I try to not eat fast foods. A grocery store less than 2 miles away, and a Walmart about 3 miles away. There is also a Love's truck stop in the opposite direction, about 2 miles. The furniture in the room seems a little oldish, but that doesn't bother me none as it still looked nice. The staff was very cordial, friendly, and accommodating. I was given a room (#103), and the tv was not receiving the stations. The staff simply put me into another room without hesitation or hassle. Very nice room for the price.

first off when checking in I was informed there is $20 per night fee for a pet and when I made the reservations through hotel.com there was nothing detailing there was a pet fee. Was not pleased The door facing south at the top and bottom did not meet the door frame and it being over a 100 degree temp the high south wind coming through those cracks so bad the air conditioner didn't cool the room. Next morning I took towels to fill those spaces, so second night did sleep comfortably

Great value for the price. Not “fashionable” or fancy but clean and well taken care of, everything most people would need for an overnight stay. Be prepared to heat or cool the room yourself on arrival, but at this price point, it makes a lot of sense to me that owners would conserve energy. Microwave, coffee pot, clean sheets, etc.

Super accommodating when we arrived at 2:00AM. Easy process. Clean enough for a 4-hour nap!
