Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Port Arthur near Sabine Pass

The location was easily accessible and near local fast-food establishments.

The Restroom door did not close in the suite, the floor looks dirty along the edges and corners, a/c does not blow very cold, more like a humid cool. Not very much parking near the suite, mostly handicapped spaces. Felt like I was being stereotyped as I was told more than two or three times that I would lose my $100 cash deposit if I smoked "weed" in the room. There was none of this activity going on and did receive my deposit back after what seemed like some stalling. Also asked to receive a copy of the document I was asked to sign I was told I could not have a copy.

Owner demanded cash deposit even though I registered through expedia upon arrival.

The housekeeping ladies were sweet

The property was conveniently located but was a bit run down. There was rust in the tub, the sink stopper was missing, the coffee maker wouldn’t work, the faucet had minimal water pressure and the door keys worked intermittently.

Half of my deposit was kept because I used a towel to clean up some juice that was on the floor. The hotel doesn’t provide napkins in the room so how else was I suppose to clean up a spill at 11 p.m. at night ?

I let the front office know about bed bugs and the manager try to convince me that it wasn’t. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
