Pebble Beach

A little devastated! Booked a romantic night away (we never get away!) Expecting beautiful sea view room, beautiful ambient restaurant to relax to.... instead we turned up at 7.45 to a padlocked building, not a light on in the hotel, nowhere to eat, no bar.... apparently all closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but NO indo on this when we booked, otherwise we'd never have stayed. Eventually got through to a number, who gave us akey code to get in at the back.... hoping the worst was over. Room was NOT AS ADVERTISED. Rather than a sea view... the room had no windows!!! They were blocked out as the 'View' consisted of some sort of hell... stinky dirty containers with some sort of electrical that made the noise of 10 chinooks... May as well have been sleeping on a landing pad all night. Radiator broken so sweltered all night and couldn't open the window as the nose was so loud. Had to sleep with cotton wool in all night. Carpet dirty, didn't super trust the mugs.... bathroom looked stained on the floor. Bed was comfy although sadly couldn't sleep all night due to noise! Handed key in morning and nobody asked how room was although staff were polite. Peeked on to a room next door during the maid service... was STUNNING in comparison. And when the restaurant opened in the morning it looked nice. Basically.... check on your room before booking....ours was vile, don't expect anything as advertised if you go on a Monday or Tuesday. It ruined our break away. X

Accessible to beach and restaurants

Bath was sited under the angle of the roof extremely difficult to get in and out. The combined tap and shower, however the shower hand held either gave boiling hot or cold it would not mix.

Shame place not open Monday and Tuesdays so can’t comment on service other than that they were great at the initial emails and the instructions were easy to follow. Nice room. Didn’t see where WiFi information was so can’t comment on WiFi. Enjoyed my stay. Felt homely. Loved being so close to the beach to go for a morning walk before I left.

Have been here many times before food is excellent very relaxing with sea views a little gem overlooking the Isle of Wight would totally recommend pebble beach staff are very attentive to make your stay here perfect thank you pebble beach

A very enjoyable stay. Loved the music on the sunday evening .

We stayed in Hurst the room was nice but having a hand held shower really put us off! Also the lack of any sound proofing. We could hear the next room having conversations and every car going by on the road! On a positive note we had dinner in the restaurant and the staff and food were amazing!

Enjoyable evening meal. Breakfast was overall good but no cereals or fruit on offer for guests staying at Pebble Beach and a slight issue over times, one note saying 8.30am when in fact it should have been 9pm.

Reasonable value.Good for a few days away.Not too noisy.Staff nice.

Very happy with our stay. Lovely meal in the terrace area as the sun went down. Good value and delicious food too
