We chose Koh Yao Yai after extensive searches on Google, Booking.com, Tripadvisor and UK travel agents - looking at lots of reviews of hotels on many islands in the region - we opted for Koh Yao Yai Village. Our research did not let us down and nor did the reviews (I always question how objective reviews are going to be). This is a really special place. The restaurants are beautifully set to maximise the stunning view. The food is good - yes it’s not bargain basement - but neither is the setting. To balance this I never felt this place was trying to take advantage of its guests and our food and drinks bill at the end of one week felt very reasonable for what we had consumed. The villas are fabulous. Beds are super comfortable. Aircon works well. We were in a sea view with pool villa which was nestled into greenery and lots of shade. The pools are all great. Really nothing to fault and everything to praise. And the staff are fantastic from the GM down. The GM, Adie gave us a tour of the kitchen garden and shared lots of great detail about how to manage a hotel sustainably whilst giving back to the local community. We were there for Songkran and the staff genuinely enjoyed sharing their festival with us. All round - a top class hotel. Don’t go changing.

Unglaublich schönes Resort, perfekt gelegen und wunderbarer Ausblick - perfekt zum entspannen! Der Pool und die Anlage sind wirklich super gepflegt und man spürt die Liebe zum Detail und zur Natur! Das Personal auch stets sehr freundlich, speziell die Buggy-Fahrer!:)

Das Essen in beiden Restaurants war leider enttäuschend…
