The Carriage Inn B&B

This house is a treasure. It’s almost 160 years old and is as clean and well maintained as a new build. The hand carved moldings are beautiful and rarely seen in more modern homes. The hosts are warm and present enough to be welcoming, yet out of sight enough to not make you feel smothered. The breakfasts are delicious and served on fine china. If you’re into historic locations, this is well worth the money.

Yvonne and Jonathan were the best hosts! From the moment we walked in the door until the early morning we left (she packed a huge sack breakfast for us!) every little detail was done to the nines! Excellent! The house was beautiful and very well maintained; rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated in the period style. Breakfasts were outstanding, served on beautiful china always with smiles from Jonathan and Yvonne. They were attentive hosts but not intrusive. Can’t wait until we can go back again!!

Great breakfast was excellent. Owners very personable. Rooms beautiful. If you do the the robin nest room, be aware there is 3 flights of stairs. I am 75 with no issues and did fine. My friend who is 76 has bad knees and third was a problem for her. The Robins nest was quite roomy with a day bed and I believe a queen

This is one of the most beautiful and well kept BandBs we’ve ever stayed in. The room was gorgeous, it was meticulously clean, the breakfasts and afternoon snacks were over the top! The hosts were absolutely charming and very helpful. We hope to stay there again when in the area.

Yvonne and John are the most kind and welcoming people who run the sweetest inn. It is clean, historic, and down to earth. The rooms are amazing but on top of that you are welcome to sit in the sitting room, front porch, and back sitting area to read, talk, eat the pastries Yvonne made extra and drink additional coffee and tea. They make a fabulous prompt breakfast. We even had dinner with them and some other super amazing guests, and got to know each other better. They are very personable and made us feel right at home! You guys are the best!

The hosts, Yvonne and Jonathan were wonderful and helpful and the breakfast was great! Surrounding the property are historic locations and the property itself has a rich historic history. I will definitely return.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Our room was spacious and private. The breakfast every morning was so good and the history behind the house is so special! The owners take such good care of you and promptly shipped my jewelry back that I accidentally left behind. Highly recommend a stay here if you’re going through Charles Town!

Yvonne and Jonathan recently took over the property but you’d think they’ve been running it for years. Very comfortable room, good breakfast and very friendly and accommodating hosts!!
