Old, needed update, bad odor

In for a quick one night stay, flexibility on early check in was great. Very close to I-95 so some background traffic noise. Our room was carpeted, but new LVP is going in thru out. Great value and Main St Old Saybrook has nice shops and restaurants. Would recommend Mirsina's for breakfast if looking for more than continental.

Well located for getting to the places we wanted to be. This is an older property, but well taken care of and service was very good. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The property is not correctly represented in the photos in the listing. The positives are that it seems to be very clean and the bed is comfortable. The negatives are that it is very close to I-95 and the traffic noise is constant, the facilities are Spartan, the rooms face the common walkway so you cannot open the drapes if you value privacy.

We would not recommend

The location was good. Had tickets to The Kate and it was within close proximity to the theater. The room was clean and the bed was comfy

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Could have offered hard boiled eggs or some other form of protein other than milk....perhaps yogurt. I do understand it is a small hotel and recognize the limitations of the small breakfast area. I would stay here again if I was in the area again.

Location inconvenient off a one way road, you hear the traffic from I 95 all the time.

This motel was very good for the price. It was clean, quiet, and just a short ride to places in Old Saybrook and Westbrook. But although it offers a free continental breakfast, the offerings are minimal. After my first breakfast at the motel, I ate out. Other than the breakfast, I enjoyed my stay.
