Flamingo Hotel by the Beach, Penang

Staff friendly, breakfast was fab. Hotel is literally right on the beach which was clean and nice. No complaints about cleanliness or responsiveness of staff.

We asked for a sea view which we technically got, but we had a large fenced off terrace immediately in front of us which we couldn't walk out onto, so we weren't able to enjoy it as we expected. There was no carpet in the room which had hard ceramic tiles on the floor, so we needed to use thongs.

Toilet was not clean Room flush not working and we have to keep calling reception to help Feel uncomfortable staying in the room cause of the cleanliness

LACK OF STAFF AT FRONT DESK, AFTER CHECK-IN, WE NEED TO WAIT FOR A BELL BOY SINCE THE BELL BOY AND THE RECEPTIONIST IS THE SAME PERSON. He needs to entertain the guest and bring up the guest luggage to the room. Pity him. BREAKFAST NOT IMPROVED FROM THE LAST VISIT 1 YEAR AGO. TO PROVIDE NASI MINYAK IN THE EARLY MORNING IS NOT A GOOD CHOICE AT ALL. MAKE ANOTHER OPTION OF FLAVOURED RICE THAT IS COMMON IN MALAYSIA, SUCH AS FRIED RICE, NASI LEMAK, OR NASI KERABU. NASI MINYAK IS NOT SUITABLE. ALSO IMPROVE THE PORRIDGE TASTE, VERY LACK OF CONDIMENTS.

Excellent quiet location, away from hectic and busy Georgetown. Very nice swimming pool en direct acces to the beach. Nice big room. We had we the sea view on the 13 floor. Friendly staff

It was a very pleasant stay. The room size was very nice and the view was great. It had a quiet pool and felt nice and clean.

I did not love the variety at breakfast, and the balcony door also seemed outdated and difficult to open and close. Also the restaurants in walking distance were not a great variety. None of this is too important though if you want a relaxing stay, this is great.

Sarapan pagi tidak memuaskan, Nasi lemak tidak sedap, sebab ada letak bunga cengkeh dan buah pelaga. Pada hari ke 2, saya makan roti canai tapi karinya terlalu masam.
