Hotel Orson Welles

Veldig flotte rom, men hotellet er totalt fuktskadd, og veldig mørkt. Usentralt.

The hotel was clean and we got new spreads for the bed and towels every day, thumbs up for the cleaning lady. Otherwise the rooms were very cold (beeing there during november), the windows and balcony door not keeping close made both cold wind and noise diusturb us during the stay. The showers and washbasin was leaking water and the bathroom overall were not so nice. Breakfast wasnt great either. But you get what you pay for, it was really cheap. Perhaps during summer when the weather is warmer it is more pleasant to stay here. The location was a bit off and it was really hard to find a taxi.

Отель понравился - несмотря на относительную удаленность от медины (если можно применять слово ДАЛЕКО в Эс-суэйре :) ). Очень приятный персонал, интересный интерьер, хорошие (хотя и типично французские :) ) завтраки. Примерно равноудален от медины и развалин португальской крепости. Душ действительно специфичный :) но вполне приемлемый, горячая вода была всегда.

This is a small, family run hotel decorated in a riad style. The hotel represents great value for for money and is located 5 mins walk from the beach and about 20 mins walk from the medina. The staff were very friendly and helpful and i can't thank them enough for helping to make our stay more enjoyable.

Nous avons constate l absence total des connaissances hotelieres du personnel et du patron vis a vis de la clientele. Ce n est pas un hotel mais plutot des chambres d hotes sans aucune securite electrique etc

A nice hotel in the new city. 5 min walk to the beach and 15 min to the Medina. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean.

La habitación es espaciosa, cuidada, limpia y decorada al estilo musulman/marriquí. Nada de lujos pero muy completa. El servicio es muy atento, simpatiquísimo y agradable. El único pero puede ser el baño, q está un poco deteriorado, pero aún así merece la pena. Suerte!

The staff is very friendly and is always ready and willing to help. They will go far above to make sure your stay is the best it can be. If you are the type of traveller who wants modern comforts and decor this is not the hotel for you. However, if you want a hotel that is full of charm and culture, this is a fabulous hotel. When I first walked in to my room it looked dirty but it was just the dark lighting and the type of tile work that they have, it is actually very, very clean. I highly recommend it. Additionally, the food is incredible and the service in the restaurant is impeccable.

Som nævnt i overskriften så blev vi boende da vi fandt at det egentlig var behageligt ikke at være i medinaen hele tiden. Essaouiras Medina er lille og overkommelig at få kendskab til i forhold til andre medinaer i andre byer. Men der er to slags forretninger inde i byen, den der er baseret på turisme og den lokale. Man kan ikke stoppe eller se på noget inde i medinaen uden at blive overfaldet af salgsagenter, der som start alle spørger hvor man kommer fra. De andre handlende lader en i fred. Derfor er det rart at trække sig lidt tllbage og se det hele fra udkanten. Og da så vært og personale var superflinke og forhandlingsvillige så blev de tre dage til en lille måned. Det er vel den bedste ros vi kan give. Det er klart at engelsk ikke er det andet sprog man lærer i Marokko. Det er fransk er det andet sprog. Hvis man kan det, så det en stor hjælp hvis man skal ind på mere ikke hotelagtige spørgsmål.
