9.0

Rooms were spacious. Well placed furniture. Clean and airy. Well stocked refrigerator. Bathroom was clean and well kept . AC was on point. Beds were neat and well kept. Food was delicious. Well planned layout of the resort. Beautiful property with peacocks. We are Coming back soon .

Prices of food can be adjusted ... But no complaints.

"3 night stay at dune eco space- Didnt rise to my expectation"

6.0

One of the biggest attraction is the private beach which is just behind the property. The coast is steep, and the waves break onto the beach with intense force. Its good for those who like it. Those who seek peaceful swimming, its not an ideal one. The property is vast and thus good for a stroll. The rooms are spacious but didnt have a hair dryer and TV. The toilets are huge as well but there was no tub.

The food is definitely a big let down. The buffet breakfast is just a normal spread and not fit for a 4 star property as they claim it to be. I didn't have lunch from the property. On the check in day which was a thursday, we had A la carte dinner. The waiting time after placing the order was close to 1 hour. The sauce which was served for the steak tasted heavily of alcohol and was not cooked properly. Remaining items were good. However the prices are exorbitantly high. Similar dishes costs much lesser at decent restaurants like Anthe, coromondel and the spot at the white town. Friday night was buffet night. There is choice for A la carte though. Having seen the delay and overpriced menu the previous day, we opted buffet which costs around 900 Rs per head for non veg option( without taxes). The spread was again a big let down. Pondicherry is famous for the delicious seafood cuisine. However, the spread did not even have one seafood item. Its a big shame. The highlight was biryani, pulao and one chicken item. For anyone who seeks a different culinary experience, it is a huge let down. The buffet area is also crowded. Very poorly designed. A property which boasts of so much space couldn't allot some more space for the buffet spread. Its a shame and reflects on the taste of the personnel who owns this property. The staff appeared to be lost and not a single one of the serving staff at the restaurant appeared jovial. It was as though the duties are thrust upon them contrary to their wish. Overall, an unpleasant experience at the restaurant. Considering the huge amount of money charged for the stay, it was an unpleasant experience. The property doesnt have the standards of a 4 star property. Just having a vast area doesnt qualify. Even the upkeep of the property needs to be improved. The walk ways are like poorly kept with a lot of dust whenever a buggy passes. The pools are also lacking maintenance.

"Disappointing to say the least"

4.0

The beach was lovely and private. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. The manager was friendly and trying his best to sort things out. The property is large and has the potential to be a featured destination.

Where do we even start? Location: The property is located far from Pondy. If you are planning to visit Pondy sights, don’t stay here Property: this is a largish resort, but the beach is quite a walk away. There are no beach-facing villas. God knows why the planners did not utilize the biggest potential USP of this property Our villa: Weird, to say the least. The structure seems to have been reconstructed from the wooden components of older houses that were dismantled. While such an arrangement is not a bad idea per se, the maintenance inside is bad. The bathrooms were poorly maintained, the beds were creaky, and there was lizard poop on the towels. The linen and towels may be cleaned, but they urgently need to be replaced because they are very old and stained. There were these old photos of dead people all over the walls, which, combined with the very dim lighting, musty smell, and frequent power cuts at night, gave the villa a really spooky feel. We were unable to sleep well on both nights. The living room had no AC, and there was no TV, which were additional bummers. The 'free' breakfast was poorly planned. The variety on both days was very limited, and the food (including the juice) was of poor taste and insufficient quantity. The guys at the dosa/egg counter were overworked, and their output was disappointing. Other foodstuffs kept running out. Dogs and crows were hanging around the food place, and no one was bothered to clear it out. The restaurant is primarily non-AC, making it uncomfortable in a place like this. There should be more fans with water spray or some coolers at least. There is a small AC food place that is poorly maintained and musty, and the AC is unable to cool it enough. There were other facilities, all of which appeared somewhat old and not very well maintained. Overall, we felt severely let down by the experience and poor facilities, which were NOT at all value for the hard-earned money which we spent on the 2 nights there.
