La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft Worth-Burleson

Beware this hotel charges an extra $5 per night, at check-in, if you book through a 3rd party. (The hotel stay itself was alright, except thin walls and loud neighbors and TV. Also it’s an older hotel that has been remodeled.) Later, when I called to inquire about the $5 charge on the credit card I used for deposit/incidentals, I was told specifically that the hotel charges the fee when you use a 3rd party app, and when I questioned whether the hotel or the 3rd party got the money, I was specifically told the hotel collects it FOR the 3rd party but the 3rd party gets the money. When I asked where that was disclosed, he said it should be on the 3rd party’s documents. I then called Chase Travel and they said everything charged was itemized and disclosed on my receipt, and there is nothing about an extra $5 fee for 3rd party bookings collected at the hotel. The agent called the hotel, while I was on hold, and she was told the hotel charges the fee PER night. She said she also had read through all the hotel fine print—late check in , pets, other fees, etc., but it doesn’t say anything about a $5 fee for 3rd party app bookings. She asked for a supervisor at the hotel, and the front desk guy Jose said he was a supervisor, and would not refund the charge. So he LIED to me about who gets the $5, and the hotel does not disclose the fee at check-in, and it is not on the confirmation email with rules, policies, etc. However, I then checked back on Chase Travel as if I was going to book a new room, and there is a “mandatory fee” called a “service fee” that is $5 per accommodation, per night. There was already a "property fee" of $3.43 included by Chase Travel on my receipt. Obviously, the hotel is hoping no one notices that $5 fee/night when they are searching for a hotel, will have forgotten it by the time they stay at the hotel, nor cares to dispute $5 these days, but the lying from the front desk agent and non-disclosure is what bothers me the most in a hotel brand that I have trusted and stayed at often in the past.

Everyone was so nice to us, including my pets.

The window was taped up. Very unexpected, and the floor area close to the bathroom saged, that's a maintenance issue both our, other wise all good.

Awesome cleanliness. Lobby was very inviting. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable. All the amenities were large containers attached to the walls. The pillows had a very soft pleasing scent. We felt safe staying the area had lots of restaurants and retail
