The housekeeping were excellent, consistent and helpful, the staff were helpful and polite however the hotel itself is not shown accurately, it is rundown difficult to get to and the price is clearly for the location only.

A stairway from hell to get to my room / state of the hotel part, have to walk through restaurant to get to my room.

Choosing a hotel is always a guessing game and Belaggio was no different. But we chose a winner in booking here. Absolutely in the center of the dining, shopping, entertainment and the waterfront. Anything other than the waterfront is crazy steep stairs. The views from our balcony were priceless, watching the boats on the lake... music from the restaurant below...coffee in the mornings...dining and drinks a few steps below! Our balcony doors remained wide open all night, music filled the room, boats coming and going from the waterfront, truely a Lake Como Italian experience. Easy to get a daily ferry ticket to Como, Varenna or Maraggio each morning with ferries departing from docks within 500' of the hotel. Plenty of private tour boats as well. I did read some of the other reviews, so let me add some color here>. When you arrive, there isn't a front desk or hotel staff per se - and that's the BEST part! Simply look for the host who will hand you the keys to the room (no sign-in, no credit cards) and wish you a fine stay. Early arrival - no issue for us. Clean towels every day - this is rare in Europe! AC worked - what a pleasant surprize! Wine selection - 100's to choose from and a dedicated wine room on the second floor. Overall a better experience than the 4 star Michelin Hotel. Our 4 day stay was not without issues. Lost hot water but that was fixed within hours of reporting it. And we lost all power the last night due to severe thunderstorms. Cellular data service was marginal due to the huge crowds in town. Not much different than America!

Upon arrival we needed to 'adjust' to casual staff and lack of a more formal hotel reception desk, but quickly realized this was exactly what we needed to experience in Belaggio.

Clean and great location.

Shouldn’t advertise themselves as a hotel when there is 0 service. The hotel manager was rude and gave us no information about our room, getting around, departure rules, exit/entry, etc. but the staff at the restaurant were great!

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. It is also on the main street Infront of Pier making it easily accessible

The balcony is small but also they have a restaurant just below on the first floor and they open it's roof in the evening making it uncomfortable to use
