"A mixed bag"

6.0

I brought a group of ten university colleagues to this property and upon entering my room was immediately disappointed. Even though it was designated a non-smoking room, it smelled badly of cigarette smoke. Also, the bathroom smelled of sewer gas. I began apologizing to my colleagues for my choice of hotels, only to find out that some of their rooms were actually not all that bad. The next day I asked to be moved to another room, which turned out to be somewhat better, except that the air conditioner was not working at all and I accidentally broke a window pane trying to open a window that I did not realize was nailed shut only at the very top. When I reported my accident to the desk, the clerk insisted on moving me to my third room, which turned out to be somewhat better still. All in all, it is difficult to say anything about this hotel except that it is inconsistent; the quality of your room will depend on the luck of the draw. I get the impression that the owner, who apparently operates other business nearby, is not really interested in maintaining this property. Front desk staff appear to be aware of this fact and so remain friendly and accommodating.

"Really lovely hotel "

8.0

Lovely hotel. Lovely people that work here and more that anything it is location. What a jewel of location. Some rooms need update and I hope it will happen for my next stay but still it is just amazing. Small details like electric outlet is not close to bed and wires for hair dryer are all open and look dangerous. Reception is great. Smiles all over. I like it. Breakfast very simple but good. ( small detail. : please make omelette and eggs in a a dish that people can open without moving heavy aluminium cover aside. ) Love love location.

"Good location"

6.0

The hotel is old and old-fashioned. The renovated rooms look clean but as if they were never sucked. The bathrooms are not even renovated. The restaurant is closed so the meals are served in the neighboring night club. The food is ok, but the club is full of smell of tobacco and alcohol. The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is great.

"Sewage smell"

4.0

I spent two nights here with colleagues. The hotel has its advantages, notably that it has a central location and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the rooms are a very mixed bag. For me and my colleague next door, the biggest negative was the sewage smell from our bathrooms. If it weren't for this, I'd rate Kasina as average. It's clearly a popular hotel, as it was fully booked during my stay - probably because it's cheap. In general the rooms are shabby. One of the towel racks in my bathroom kept falling down, and there was a disgusting hole under the bathtub with a metal cover that just lay on the floor. There was no hook for the shower. At least my room and bathroom were clean, except for the windowsills between the double set of windows, which were full of cobwebs. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, the room was well-lit, and the WIFI was very efficient. So was the air conditioning, although it was on the noisy side. My room was at the back, so I didn't get any noise from the extremely busy street. My colleagues had a number of complaints. Some examples: one said that her room was dirty. Another couldn’t get WIFI in her room. A third had non-functioning AC. A fourth didn’t have a door to her bathroom, only a curtain. As other reviewers have mentioned, the elevator keeps breaking down. One of my colleagues got stuck in it. Breakfast was served in the adjoining night club – so dark, and why play loud music in the morning?? The selection of food was good, but the milk was long-life, the coffee vile, and there was only white bread and rolls. The restaurant in front of the hotel serves excellent food – I had a delicious Caesar salad - and very friendly waitstaff. However, you don’t have to stay at Kasina in order to eat there. For that matter, you should stay away from this hotel entirely if you don’t want to risk getting a room smelling of sewage.

"Old and Being Renovated"

4.0

This hotel has not been renovated in decades. That said, after requesting a non smoking room, it was small but comfortable and reasonably clean. The decor is also old and outdated. Bathrooms are not vented. There is a small fridge stocked with drinks. No safe for valuables. The elevator is very old and small. It broke after our arrival but was repaired in a few hours. The breakfast area was under construction in a bar next door. It was a smoking area so it was not ideal for eating if you are a non smoker. Also it was dark and there are some step down areas you could fall on if not vigilant. Breakfast was ok but coffee was terrible. I would not recommend.

"Central and lively"

6.0

This hotel has seen better days, but some of the rooms have weathered better than others. I was in two different rooms and would hope never to see the inside of one of them again, the other was quite good. There is a main road right in front of the hotel, this makes being able to shut the door to the (tiny) balcony critical. Guess what. That particular room also had problems with the shower and the w/c. I was happy with the beds. The a/c worked in both rooms. It is not silent but not really loud enough to be intrusive - especially considering the noises from the street. I spoke to some people who had a room facing towards the back, a lot quieter but the view was ugly. The WiFi was unreliable, if it did not work in the room then it sometimes worked at Reception. Or vice versa. Breakfast was actually next door and was pretty good.

"Good location - decrepit rooms"

4.0

On the positive side the hotel is centrally located. I stayed there twice and both rooms had decrepit bathrooms with toilets which were not properly attached to the floor. The breakfast was mediocre and the staff not particularly helpful. Internet access was unpredictable

"great location, old furniture and small elevator"

6.0

this is a hotel with one of the best locations in town, so you can reach most of the landmarks by foot. the hotel itself looks the same as it was in the 80*s, but is also much cheaper then others nearby. Breakfast is served in a restaurant which is a discotheque during the night (almost every night, so be sure to ask for a room in the higher floor!) and there is quite a large selection. Hotel*s elevator is slow and very small.

"Great location"

8.0

Visited in June 17, in the midst of a refurbishment programme, but even so, its a very good place to stay. Front rooms are probably the best, even though they look on to the main boulevard. When the refurb is finished, will return and see if its rating can be improved! All rooms are well equipped, though the single lift was temperamental at times. Excellent breakfasts, good restaurant terrace, and loads of choice nearby. Very conveniently situated for the sights of Belgrade

"Noisy, dirty, unfriendly"

2.0

I was there on a business trip. Rooms in a decrepit shape, dirty, loud traffic did not let me sleep. When I complained at the desk and asked for a more quiet room, I was rudely sent away. I am certain to avoid it in the future
