Hôtel Val de Poix- Logis Hôtel Restaurant

The hotel has a great location next to the river and the family room was clean and cozy, just like in the photos. However, there was no air-conditioning, some electrical sockets didn’t work, and the coffee machine in the lobby was broken. Parking was a problem, especially late in the day, and the EV charging spots were always blocked by non-EVs — with no action from staff. Speaking of staff, they were polite but spoke very little English, which made communication difficult. Dinner at the restaurant requires a reservation in advance — we weren’t informed, so we couldn’t eat there. Breakfast was overpriced (€22) and disappointing, with stale bread, cheap cold cuts, and a poor omelette. Overall, not well maintained and not good value for the price.

Ontbijt was heel basic

The hotel is nicely located close to a river and check-in and check-out worked flawlessly. Breakfast and dinner were pretty standard, but enjoyable. I cannot recommend to stay at this hotel though: I overheard guests saying that they found bed bugs in their room and got bitten by them. I left the next day anyway but I thoroughly cleaned all my stuff once I was home to be oin the safe side. Also in the cellar area there is some heavy issue with water leaks: You can see wet walls and parts of the these walls already crumble off. Until these issues are fixed, no recommendation from my side.

Great location in the middle of the forest. Very peaceful. Room with a balcony and view to the forest. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast

Eigenlijk niets. De kamer was aardig, maar de rest was een hotel niet waardig.

Alles. De ontvangst, het zogenaamde restaurant wat erbij zat, het ontbijt, geen enkele faciliteit was er, de ergste koffie die je maar kunt bedenken, tafels die los zaten, bedrading te zien, lekkage, via een vergaderkamer naar boven, bloedhete kamers, niks behord, kinderen die mee moeten doen in de bediening, bar pas open om 17.00 uur en iedereen moest naar bed om 22.00 uur. Alkes net niets en alles vergane glorie!
