Die Betten waren sehr bequem

Wir hatten ein halbes Jahr vorher gebucht mit einem befreundeten Pärchen und haben extra ein paar mal per Mail und in der Buchung angegeben das wir gern ein Zimmer nebeneinander hätten. Letztendlich hatten die Freunde ein Zimmer in 2 Stock und wir im EG auf der komplett anderen Seite. Das Hotel wäre voll man könne nichts ändern. Sowas darf bei so einem hochpreisigen Hotel nicht passieren. Sie hatten 6monate Zeit sich vorzubereiten. Sehr schlechte Organisation. Unser Schloss war komplett locker und die Tür konnte mit einem leichten Tritt einfach geöffnet werden. Leider bekamen wir erneut kein neues Zimmer sondern der Hausmeister kam und schraubte eine Mini Schraube zusätzlich rein. Man fühlte sich für sich und sein hab und gut leider nicht besonders sicher.

Paradores es el mejor concepto de alojamiento para viajar por España y único en el mundo. Es una experiencia en servicio, cultura, gastronomía y patrimonio. Un viaje en el tiempo único. Este de Alcalá de Henares una joya arquitectónica y excelente experiencia. Recomendado.

This hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of all the main historical and cultural sights, as well as a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel is a harmonious fusion of old and contemporary buildings and styles, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. Our room was spacious, cool, spotlessly clean and minimally furnished with a large bed, desk and sofa - everything we needed - and the large bathroom had a great walk-in shower.The staff are polite, helpful and attentive and the hotel's amenities (bar, two restaurants, a roof garden) are impressive. We had dinner in the modern restaurant and the food and service were outstanding. Overall, we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay in a memorable hotel.

Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed at the time of our visit (late May), even though the weather was excellent with temperatures in the 30sC. Apparently in Spain the summer does not begin until June! So we had no access to sun loungers, umbrellas or the pool area. However, we were able to sit on the grass in the roof garden. Even more irritating was the fact that the alfresco bar (located in a beautiful sunny cloister with tables and umbrellas) was closed to hotel residents for a full day because of a private function. We were not warned in advance, there were no alternative arrangements for residents, and no compensation for loss of amenities.

Everything was excellent. The A/C worked but didn't cool enough.
