Dar El Kébira

I had a wonderful experience at Riad Dar El Kebira! The blend of traditional Moroccan architecture and modern comforts creates a truly unique and luxurious atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and cozy, making me feel at home. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, offering stunning views of the city and a peaceful spot to enjoy breakfast or relax. The location is excellent, close to the heart of Rabat .

Very charmig traditionell clean and nice place, with beautiful colours , the stuff is very helpful and easy to talk to The food was super good , and a lot of variety and fresh , The access is easy and you can wall to the beach, I would love to be there again

My experience at Dar El Kebira was absolutely flawless. The staff provided outstanding service, always attentive and friendly. The warm welcome made me feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, elegant, and spotlessly clean, offering everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Every aspect of my visit exceeded expectations. Absolutely horrified by this Riad. They gave us a room that shouldn’t even be used by people—it’s more suited for rats. The food was awful, and the room was filthy. The quality is far below acceptable standards, and here’s why: 1. The shower leaks water all over the bathroom floor. I had to use every bath towel to soak it up. Clearly, this has been an ongoing problem since some tiles are even missing next to the shower. 2. There are actual holes in the walls, making the room feel like it’s falling apart. 3. The hardware on the walls is cheap plastic and looks low quality, adding to the room’s tackiness. 4. The wooden door has aluminum lining at the bottom, possibly hiding rotted wood beneath it. 5. The fringes on the rug are filthy and completely unkempt, making the whole room feel dirty. 6. The armoire handle is broken, further adding to the rundown, neglected feel of the place. Overall, this room feels like a two-star disaster at best, and it’s a total disappointment compared to what we expected. Avoid this Riad if you’re looking for any kind of quality or cleanliness.

Dated (“old”) furnishings are somewhat charming. The room is clean and cozy, and we were satisfied with the overall experience. Good staff.

The room; the night I checked in the air conditioner was making a loud noise and didn’t work at all. Evenings were okay during my stay because it was cool weather. I had late night check in because of my flight and I had to call the manager - several times before he answered. Also on informing him that the air conditioner was not working he said it was. Next day I got a change of room (which was fairly cleaner than the previous one) because the attendee Ahmed checked to confirm it wasn’t working. A day after work when I came they transferred everything without my presence and confirmation back to the old room. And seeing it in daylight made me totally uncomfortable. I didn’t take the breakfast on any of the days at the Riad.

The rooms are a two-stars standard, not five !! The riad is very nicely located — in the Medina but not too far from outside. The interior is really nicely decorated. Plenty of beautiful common spaces and a nice rooftop. For that the hotel could be a four-stars standard. The staff is friendly. But while I don’t know the legal standards for Morocco to grant five stars to a property, everywhere in the world the standards include a minimum ROOM SIZE. As someone who spends one third of his life on hotels, I can tell you the room sizes are two-stars — it’s the kind of room size you would find at Ibis Budget, not even at Holiday Inm Express! I am not trying compare apples with oranges — this is an old town typical Riad — but the reason I chose a five-stars property instead of four or three (and paid more accordingly) was exactly room size and room comfort. Whoever renovated this building did a great job at imagining the beautiful furniture and decorations. But they forgot that the rooms also need to accommodate guests and their baggage… My son and I couldn’t move around the room at the same time — one had to make space for the other. The suitcase couldn’t be anywhere lying flat (other than on the bed). The twin beds were about 80 cm wide. No space to put things. No space to put my toiletries bag in the bathroom. My spouse and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed a very friendly and professional service in a romantic and exquisite environment. I highly recommend this beautiful Riad for an incredible epicurean experience coupled with the highest standards of hospitality!

We were greated warmly and given mint tea with a great presentation. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were lovely, nice bathrooms with good facilities. Terrace had nice view of the city. Breakfast was very good. It was a great start to our vacation!
