Gasthof Meyer Landshut

This hotel is also known as the Gasthof Ulrich Meyer, just FYI. If you are not planning on having a car on your visit to Landshut, do not stay here. It is about five miles outside of the city center with limited public transport options. I imagine this accounts somewhat for the inexpensive rates. There is plenty of car and bus parking in front of the hotel. The Gasthof itself is very nice, with large, clean rooms and a spacious restaurant, where I ate a tasty dinner the night I was there. The breakfast buffet the next morning was generous, too. They offered free wireless and a gratis bottle of sparkling water. There is a huge walled Biergarten in the back, which looked like it would be quite nice in warmer weather. There was a playset, so if you are traveling with children this might be a good pick: they can run around and blow off steam while you enjoy a beer on the patio!
