Tandem

This hotel was a great value just a few blocks from "downtown" Bamberg! Our windows looked right out on the river and one had a screen so we could keep it own all night without bugs being attracted to our lights. Simply beautiful view. The room itself was tastefully minimalist, but had all the essentials (closet, desk, place for suitcase, night tables). Breakfast was included and also good. Parking wasn't included, but there was a garage 2 blocks away we could use.

The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The included breakfast was a feast and quite fancy. Located right on the river just on the edge of old town. Our room viewed the river and was very comfortable. Only one English TV station but who needs it. They also had bikes for rent from the hotel for only 10 € a day, and they were very nice bikes. The town is amazing and anyone traveling through Europe should stop in, highly recommend staying at the Tandem.

What a find this is! Lovely hotel beside the river with minimalist modern rooms, very friendly owners, free Wifi and a fab breakfast, all within walking distance of the old town and cathedral. The only minus is no parking at all but there is a covered public car park nearby.

Very modern hotel!!! Great location with an amazing security system! Nobody can get in the hotel without special key, feels safe!! Very friendly family owned hotel!!!

Loved the Hotel Tandem, no qualms at all about staying here again. It's right near a nice little strip of Breweries/Beer Halls in the old town section, yet still walkable from the train station. Great place

The stars aligned when I arrived in Bamberg this past Wednesday as it was the first nice day of the year and everyone was outside drinking and chatting. Hotel Tandem was clean, attractive and well situated on the canal. My room was tidy and the bed very comfortable. If I ever go back to Bamberg, I would look forward to returning to this hotel.

The Tandem tops the list of the 7 hotels we've stayed in so far in Germany. It's clean, well located and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. We were fortunate to get a room overlooking the river with three windows to enjoy the view. Compared to the cost/value of other hotels, the Tandem is a great value. The photo submitted with my review was taken looking out one of our windows.

Very clean, lovely town, walking distance to historic sights, and good restaurants. Owner was wonderful and easy to deal with. Would stay here again, next time longer. Overlooked the Regnitz River. Fabulous.

Perfect location in a great city. 5 mins walk to the Old Town Hall and to the restaurants around there, and a peaceful setting on the most picturesque stretch of the river , although there is some passing road traffic.We had Room 8 which probably has the best view. A lovely small hotel, and very helpful owner. We particularly liked the service and quality of breakfast. Life's perhaps too short to keep stopping at the same places, but we'll definitely want to go back to Bamberg, and would only stop at the Tandem

Everything worked, no complaints on anything. Easily recommended. Probably the best service ever in any hotel we've visited.
