Polos Hotel

Really enjoyed our stay here. It's just moments walk to the stunning waterfront. We stayed in an economy room which was so cheap and considering the price was really good. The hotel facilities including pool are great for the money. Location is the best thing.

The hotel is close to the city center and the port. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. We spent more money to get one of the better rooms, but most of them had the balcony to the street. The pool area was very nice with banana and palm trees. There where no cushion on the sunbeds but the hotel provided pool towels. Breakfast was disapointing, we expected much more after reading all the reviews.

I had a rather miserable budget room in a lovely hotel. I'm sure that if you paid for a more expensive room you would really enjoy the wonderful facilities. The budget room was downstairs in the basement. It has a window but with limited light as you are subterranean and there was a pool wall a couple of metres in front of the window. The room floor was dirty - you couldn't walk barefoot without accumlating dust and dirt on your feet. The shower had no curtain and the drain hadn't been cleared of hair and looked grotty. I actually bought my own disinfectant to sterilise it! Staff at reception however were absolutely lovely. The breakfast was good. The lobby, shared areas and back garden and pool are excellent. It's a good 15 minute walk - with luggage - to the hotel from the port and old town, but there was a mini-market on the way which was very handy.

Nice off season stay. Quiet and good wifi access. Unfortenately now warm water the last day....
