Danaos Hotel

Fantastic location next to the coolest beach in Greece.

Location is the best feature. One step and you’re on the beach. Shops nearby. Bakeries. Price is great too. You can book trips with the front desk. Front desk staff are very helpful. They booked our boat trips for us and told us any info we needed to know. You’re close to old Chania town which is very useful (20 minute walk). There are loads of restaurants there. Buses to the airport. 11am check out time is nice too.

You can hear doors banging in the hotel which can wake you up, or make it harder to sleep. There might be shouting or loud motorbikes outside. Obviously that’s not in control of the hotel though. Sun beds outside the hotel are ALWAYS taken. There are cheaper sun beds on the next hotel down though so it’s not too bad. Staff in the reception are amazing. When it comes to the restaurant staff there can be a language barrier problem. We ended up getting bread chunks when we ordered pitta and tzatziki. We just choose the other restaurants nearby after that. I wouldn’t order food from the hotel too often.

Lokalizaja jest bardzo dobra zaraz przy plaży. Bardzo uprzejma obsługa i bardzo czyste pokoje.

Na dole w kafejce jest palarnia i dym papierosowy leci w gore przez schody do pokoi przez cały dzień. Nie było gorącej wody kilka dni. Cieple śniadanie trochę późno od godz. 10.00 Akustyka budynku bardzo głośna i niesie hałas przez klatkę schodowa. Rano hałasy z kuchni i w nocy glosy powracających do pokoi.

Brødet var kedeligt, men spisbart. Hotellets beliggenhed var perfekt, både til strand og by.
