Lovely hotel with beautiful common areas. The room and bed was comfortable and clean. Great breakfast every morning, with excellent coffee. The hotel is close to the starting point of one of the hiking trails up to the Moorish Castle. Large parking area if you have a car, yet still a relatively easy walk to Old Sintra. Staff was very friendly and helpful, with a packed breakfast and taxi booking for an early-morning visit to Pena Palace, as well as giving helpful advice on navigating Sintra's one-way streets.

Steep, uneven stairs from the parking area to the hotel. Easy enough to drop luggage at the front door before parking the car, but due to the one-way streets, from the parking lot back to the hotel entrance it was almost a 3km loop to pick luggage up again.
