Saint Francis Resort

Not worth the money spent. Rooms are basic but require a full renovation (and should be cleansed) The boat going from/to the hotel is not reliable. You cannot choose when you want to do what. And when he is late, it is always because of the guests. Super long wait for munch or dinner. Will not come back.

Staff made this rustic resort more desirable than a high end resort . The resort also is affordable and the food is good. Stayed 9 nights and wish I was independently wealthy so I could stay longer. The views are breathtaking and peaceful. I will return.

I absolutely loved it here. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Very accomodating. I stayed in the newer house boat to get the panoramic view of the water. It was great. My only issue was the water taxi driver was very rude at times. Very unpleasant, frequently refusing to carry guests over to the main land for booked excusrsions and other needs without compensating him extra, talking negative about the other staff members, and insulting guests. Other than that, everyone was so warm and welcome. I did a full day tour to explore the island and everyone was amazing. The local residents were very helpful and friendly. Food was great. Easy access to the beach. Access to kayaks and water toys. I liked how there was hardly anyone at the beach no matter what time. Very family friendly. Great place to unplug, relax, and have fun.

Staff is amazing. Hotel is well below my standards for quality of amenities.

We stayed at the St Francis Resort for 2 nights and we enjoyed every minute of it. A taxi driver met us at the airport to take us to the dock where it was a quick boat ride to the resort. Our room was large and we had the most amazing view of the beach and water. Most of the time we were the only ones on the beach for as far as you could see. The food at the snappy turtle was very good and all of the staff were friendly. We will definitely consider coming back.

We really liked St. Francis. You can't expect five star luxury but that didn't matter to us. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were great. We had a few small problems that were taken care of quickly; the in-room wifi went away after a couple days and didn't come back unfortunately. Our room was comfortable and a little spartan but that wasn't a problem. The beaches on the Atlantic side are just outstanding. On the Elizabeth Harbour side there are good kayaking opportunities (free kayaks) and it's a short walk through the water to Chat 'n' Chill which is a rocking hangout. Overall we recommend St. Francis and would definitely go there again.

The most amazing view from our nice clean room. All the staff and owner are extremely friendly, very welcoming and accommodating. There were renovations being done and they are coming out amazing. It was everything we needed for our 25th Anniversary, quiet, relaxing and so peaceful. The beach is truly spectacular.

The customer service at the St. Francis is incredible. Staff was so friendly. Kera the manager helped make our stay relaxing, the breakfast was marvelous. The view from our room was the most amazing and breathtaking view of sea turqoise that I have ever seen. Air conditioning worked well. Marie and Donna cooked food that was delicious. Chacho the water taxi driver is super friendly and it was convenient. I can't wait to come back!

We recently stayed at SFR for six days, and at first we were put off by the “under construction” nature of the facitlity, and the lack of amenities and dining options, but after a day or two, we were completely enamoured with the simplicity and quiet, the nice staff, and the stunning beauty of the beach and surroundings. We were the only people, usually, on the huge beach. We always ate at the restaurant on site, good simple food, with the other guests for dinner companions. Only 8-10 people were there at that time. Simple, quiet and personal. This is not Sandals, and we liked that. We also watched four little boys have a blast in the water, with kayaks, running around - no TV! We did excursions to see Exumas sights - turtles, iguanas, pigs, etc but we will be back for the relaxation and the beach!
