There was constant hot water.

The rooms are old and very aged decor, we were put into a family room far downstairs and it "Stunk" of damp and mould, plug socket hanging off the wall, wallpaper all ripped off, bathroom very dated and dirty... I wouldn't let a dog sleep in there... when we complained we were told it's one of there "odor" rooms, which wasn't mentioned on book in or even on here!! Disgusting hotel.

Friendly staff (I received soya milk when asked at breakfast), the fruit salad and choice of fruit juice at breakfast, room had nice new bathroom and comfortable bed with TV, all receptionists helpful. Relaxing time and the chance to practise a bit of German with some of the guests!

This is just a minor point but the tv mysteriously in room 403 turned itself on at 2am. The next time it happened I had muted the sound in advance. I forgot to alert staff about this so I only mentioned it on leaving. I still had a very enjoyable stay in Torquay

The excellent staff. Entertainment.

Lack of WiFi was main problem. Was aware that refurbishments are ongoing as room really needs updating but main parts i.e. bed and ensure we're of good quality
