Glenisle Hotel

We enjoyed our stay in Glenisle was a perfect location.

I ordered this hotel but by the time I arrived at the ferry terminal ,it was closed for the evening ,,so I did not make it to the hotel , but I was fully charged for the overnight stay , l did try and contact them the next day but couldn’t get through until Monday ,as their was a glitch in the system ,but I tried to explained the dilemma,,but they said I couldn’t get a refund … if I had known I needed to get a ferry I wouldn’t have booked ,,,,,. So I am not happy …

It's a lovely place in an even lovelier location. Breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were warm and comfortable even if on the small side (for the standard ones we had) but we were lucky to get availability so last minute!

Stunning location in front of Holy Island, perfect to visit Arran Island. Delicious food at breakfast and dinner. Hotel super clean. Excellent quality/price ratio.

Very well run hotel in a really good location.

Could definitely use some improvements in the rooms as well as the grounds. Some of the staff were great but others seemed unhappy to be there.

The Service

The staff are really what make this hotel. They are attentive but not intrusive and nothing is too much trouble. Nath was charming and knowledgeable. Our room was clean ans fresh with shower gel and shampoo supplied. Bed was comfortable. Food was delicious with a good choice of menu..Breakfast was included and plentiful. No hesitation in returning to Glenisle if back on Arran!

Staff - welcoming and helpful. More staffing required. Location/view - beautiful. Food - above average. Accommodation certainly not the standard or as illustrated as a “superior room” on the hotel website - small bed,, basic furniture and seating requiring upgrade. Shower was a dribble with an inconsistent temperature.
