Подтвердили бронирование, а в день заезда позвонили и сказали, что бронирование отменено, якобы отель на реконструкции. Если это так, зачем было подтверждать бронирование?! Почему не известили письмом заранее?! Крайне не профессиональная работа отеля и букинга! Ни извинений, ни компенсации я не получила. Впервые сталкиваюсь с подобным!

Безобразное отношение к гостям! Если отменили бронирование, почему не предупредить заранее?! Пришлось срочно менять планы и бронировать другой отель дороже! Никаких извинений так и не дождалась.

De krakende houten vloer maar daar is in zo'n band weinig aan te doen.

Staff were explaining that development of the building is just beginning. Very old structure but beautiful in its large communal rooms but bedrooms need a lot of improvement. For all that we liked the place but it was not good value.

Booking .com need to update with the hotel. The details are not accurate and standard is not yet fit for how it was advertised. We would like a voucher for future visit as we excited about the proposed development and modernisation. The bathroom was not up to standard as advertised and the bedroom floor was in need of maintenance and pillows were unsuitable.

The lady at the reception at day time was the ultimate multitasker and customer service award winner. She also took care of breakfast, which was very good and came along the room price. There was a tram and bus stop just 50m from hotel door to go to the St. Pieter's train station or do shopping and sight seeing. Walking distance to historical sights is about 1km / 15min. We got the city guide with hints from the reception. The looks of the public areas and rooms are nice and old-stylish suiting the original age of the building.

The cleaning was not at superior standard, but mostly ok. Some features in the room like elctric plugs and renovated bathroom features were a bit clumsily executed. This is a very old building by heart, so expect the temperature in the hotel to follow what happens in the weather outside. In the winter / spring time you might want to dress warmly for the breakfast. The rooms are not very silent what comes to living with other guests. F.ex. The floors sound as old as they are. No restaurants in the building or the nearby blocks.

Tolles, aussergewöhnliches Hotel mit Charme. Uns gefiel das Design und die Einrichtig richtig gut. Die Lage ist gut, man erreicht das Zentrum von Gent innerhalb weniger Minuten. Das Frühsrück war auch sehr gut, viel Auswahl.

Leider wirkt das Hotel zwar schön und "charmant alt", aber in einigen Punkten auch etwas vernachlässigt und lieblos bzw gar nicht renoviert. Vielerorts sehr staubig. Ganz besonders schlimm fand ich, dass wir nur einen Knauf am Hahn des Waschbecken hatten, entweder warm oder kalt- und mussten den immer hin- und herstecken. Ausserdem ging die Badtür nicht zu. Wir behalfen uns mit einer Tasche, die wir davor stellten, aber toll war es nicht. Und die Fenster waren nur einfach verglast, nachts war es von der Straße her sehr laut.

Tolles Frühstück, sehr schöne Atmosphäre, gute Lage, nette Mitarbeiter Es ist ein altes Gebäude mit alten Möbeln und Fußböden. Manches ist anders als gewohnt und funktioniert nicht so, wie man es kennt. Uns hat das nicht gestört, aber wer eine moderne Ausstattung erwartet, sollte wahrscheinlich nicht hier buchen.

Zwei gleichzeitig nutzbare Wasserhähne wären toll. So mussten wir uns entscheiden. Ging auch, aber mit zwei Hähnen wäre es schöner gewesen.
