"BEAUTIFUL FELT LIKE FAMILY :)"

10.0

Felt like we were staying at a family holiday house! The staff well looked after us,cooked us fresh breakfast every morning (moroccan pancakes, fruit, butter, honey, jam, mint tea, coffee),helped us with taxi service and excursions..we also booked a spa day at the riad,we had private therapists for the hammam and massage, well worth the money, plus we got the jacuzzi boiling hot all to ourselves :) The riad is located in the Medina area, the centre of the old town, great area to experience the real Marrakech. Half hour walk to the main square or 5mins by taxi. Lots of local shops and restaurants around, walking distance. Very clean place, towels changed every day,air conditioner/heater in bedroom, drinks available to purchase at the riad or free tea/coffee at any time :) Thank you to the whole team for helping us bring home great memories of Morocco!

"Perfect for medina visits."

10.0

Stay was great, organised the transfer from the airport Hicham was waiting to collect us even though we landed early with sign for riad o2. I would suggest this transfer, I have been to morocco several times and when you arrive it aviods the hassle of negotiating prices for taxis and also navigating through the intertwining maze of paths to locate the riads. On arrival we completed some paperwork and our bags taken to our room. We walked into the medina on the first evening, this was a 15-20 minute walk. Good if your happy to walk, otherwise it's approx 80dirham for a taxi. The room was narrow and two single beds but we did book this so would be ideal if you were travelling as friends or don't like to share with your partner :-S Breakfast was good, had it on the roof in the morning sun, very picturesque. Overall the staff were friendly and accommodating. Good location, clean room and excellent price. We did only stay one night as we just wanted to visit the medina for one evening and then moved out of town to a villa.

"Great accommodation facility for a family!"

10.0

Overall Riad O2 is an excellent accommodation facility for a large family. Large space and options available. The staff including the two cooks (Rashida 1 & 2) and Hassane were outstanding.

"Okay Riad"

6.0

The two cooks and nightwatchman at the Riad o2 were great but the guy who checked us in, and the only one who spoke English and said he'd be there for our 3 day stay to ask him anything, vanished after the first day and one of the cooks checked us out. Lack of communication from his part left us feeling slightly jilted about a day-tour we expected to include more than it did. We are two girls and not about to go off alone into the jungle with a random guy who said he was a "guide" to the waterfalls after approaching us at a riverside restaurant we ate at. Because of this, and because we thought we'd be joining another group and not going alone with a stranger and without our driver, we declined on the trek, which felt like we didn't get our money's worth. Overall, though, a good Riad in a quiet neighbourhood right outside of the start of the Souq. A 15 minute walk to the Square and close to a taxi rank. But don't rely on the staff at the Riad to be helpful with information outside of their own cooking and waiting duties. If you don't speak French or Arabic it can be a challenge communicating. Our biggest gripe was the beds. Concrete hard mattresses and flat pillows. Our necks and hips were aching after 3 nights. It might have been better to sleep on the roof terrace sunbeds. Individual rooms don't have locks on the doors so don't leave anything in the room without securing it.

"A lovely homely riad"

10.0

We had a fantastic stay in Riad O2. The riad is beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We organised a taxi with the riad prior to out stay, we were met at the airport and dropped on the closest road to the riad and then handed over to someone else who guys us through the network of lanes to the riad. A "tip" to the guy that tool us all the way to the road was expected which was difficult when we didn't have any small change. We were given some handy tips on finding out way out of the riad to the main road and didn't once get lost :-) The riad is about a 15-20 minute walk to the main square. The had a gorgeous home cooked lamb tagine in front of the open fire, which I'd highly recommend. We also had a traditional Gommage in the riads Hammam... This was an interesting experience! Great stay. Very welcoming. Highly recommend.

"Decent apartment great staff"

6.0

The Riad was generally okay. We arrived late one evening going through dark alleys getting to the Riyadh which had a travel party of four guys really spooked up until the point we entered the reception area. We were impressed with the top floor apartment which was well kept and clean. However, The weather in Marrakesh was very cold and wet and it's resinated into the apartment. Unfortunately the heating in one of the rooms was not working properly until we had to contact Hassan in the reception area. this staff was generally quite helpful unfortunately the weather made our stay a bit glum. This is no reflection on the Riad which was okay but a bit far from the Medina so if you are looking for something closer then it would be best to look in the market area.

"Beautiful Riad, Friendly Staff, and Great Location"

8.0

We spent a week there, and it was perfect. The location is perfect, you can walk to anything and everything that you want to see in Marrakech! The Riad itself is beautiful, with an amazing courtyard, and a lovely rooftop covered in nooks for hanging out, day beds and berber tents. We often watched the sunset and enjoyed a bottle of wine under a tent there. They also have a jacuzzi, a private hamman and a great chef. The staff was super friendly and eager to please. I recommend using the airport transfer service because the Riad can be hard to find at first. They also have an in-house guide that is very helpful :)

"Riad O2 marrakkech thumbs up!"

8.0

Great homely environment with fantastic food. A buck from the normal hotel environment, the Riad O2 staff were very welcoming and were always available to make our stay in Marrakech as comfortable as possible. We tried a number of different restaurants during our stay and none could match the traditional home cooked food provided by the Riad O2. A big thank you to all the staff including Mu'adh, Hassan, and the two cooks Rashida and Rashida. We will most definitely recommend staying at the Riad O2. One minor negative was that the rooms do not have an external lock so we were initially always worried about our valuables, however we were assured this wasn't a problem and our belongings were safe.

"Beautiful friendly riad"

The staff at the riad couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. Rooms were beautiful with a lovely paired back, authentic Moroccan style. Roof terrace was a perfect relaxed setting too. Would recommend the Hammam. Location was a bit out of the way.

"Unique Moroccan Experience"

8.0

About a week prior to arriving at the riad I received an email about airport shuttles, dinner and massage options. We arranged for pick up and dinner on arrival. Isham was our taxi driver and was very friendly and welcoming. On the way to the riad he asked as questions regarding our stay and offered to taxi us through Marrakech since we only has one full day to explore. We accepted it was well worth the price bc we didn't have to deal with taxis & figuring out the places to go... The riad itself is quiet and beautiful in its own rustic Moroccan way, the staff was extremely accommodating and kind. Location wise, the riad is about a 20-30min walk from the market square and would have trash all throughout the alleyways leading to the riad. Our room must have been close to a side street somewhere because one of the nights there was a lot of noise and racket coming from outside.... The toilet closet was small, it was difficult to get a good temperature of water, it was either pretty hot or cold. When we left the room windows closed, there would be a distinct bathroom odour that would linger in the room, but wasn't to the point of annoyance. Other than that, it was a lovely 2 night stay.
