Palazzo Bontadosi Hotel & Spa

This was, without question, the worst front desk experience I have ever had — and I spend over 200 nights a year in hotels. We arrived late after a full day of driving and simply needed a room for the night. Before arriving, I checked Booking.com, which clearly showed multiple standard rooms available at a reasonable rate. At reception, the woman, Silvia, at the front desk bluntly told us that only deluxe and suite rooms were available — at a dramatically higher price — and claimed Booking.com was “wrong.” Her tone was rude, dismissive, and borderline hostile from the start. Standing right there, I booked a standard room on Booking.com anyway. Miraculously, a standard room (Room 11) suddenly became available. We were being deliberately misled and pushed into paying more. Neither is acceptable.

The location is beautiful and offers a really nice view.​ The staff is very nice and welcoming.

The description is a bit misleading regarding the interior pool. Here is the reality: ​Not a Standalone Pool: Despite how it looks on the booking form, the pool is part of the spa, not a separate amenity. ​Pricey Access: It is not free. It costs 40€ per hour, per person, and you must have a reservation. ​Very Limited Space: The capacity is capped at 2 people, so don't expect to go with a group or do laps. ​Verdict: It’s more of a private, paid spa session than a hotel pool. Factor that into your budget!

Camera bellissima

L’attitudine per nulla accogliente in reception. La colazione un po’ povera di scelta Le uova strapazzate a 5€ extra, non all’altezza dello standard decantato. Fammi pagare la camera 10€ in più ma non chiedermene 5 per strapazzare due uova.

Boutique hotel molto elegante e curato in posizione centrale. Staff molto gentile e colazione semplice, ma completa.
