No food or at sister hotel which we went to, no reception or people, to get food we were told to go to a local pub from reception at their sister hotel and their information was wrong and had been closed for weeks and then we had to walk for miles to get somewhere. Wouldn't stay here again. Shower wasn't the best but clean and as no reception if you had a problem there was no one to solve it.

Very Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised I booked this place after seeing great reviews online, but unfortunately my experience was far from what I expected. On arrival, the first issue was the self check-in locker not working, even though it was well past check-in time. We had to contact the owner, who then arranged for a housekeeper from another location to come and help. Not a great start after a long journey. We stayed in the rooftop room, which was extremely hot with no air conditioning. There was a window, but opening it meant all the noise from the road came straight into the room, making it difficult to relax or sleep. Cleanliness was also below standard. There were visible marks all over the bathroom walls and doors, and a noticeable build-up of dust behind the toilet that clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. The bathtub setup was very impractical—you have to shower on your knees because there isn’t enough space to stand properly. The worst part of the stay happened around midnight. Just as we were about to fall asleep, the alarm system started going off loudly. After waiting about five minutes, I went downstairs to find all guests gathered in the lobby, confused and waiting for someone to respond. It took around 30 minutes for the owner to arrive, and we were then asked to leave the building. We ended up standing outside in freezing cold weather, in our pyjamas, for another 10 minutes. There was not a single apology from the owner, which was very disappointing. Another concern is that there was no staff present on-site overnight. It feels risky and unprofessional, as guests are left unattended if anything goes wrong. Overall, this place is very overrated in my opinion. Not every business can or should be run remotely, and this experience showed the downside of that approach. I would not recommend staying here. I

We had a lovely large room Tea, coffee and fresh water bottles

The spa bath needed a good cleaning as was dirt coming out the holes when turned on

The bedroom itself was lovely , apart from the bathroom

The toilet didn’t flush properly One of the sinks was blocked The shower didn’t drain properly and the doors were broken

Bed really comfortable and very quiet apart from a crying baby one night.

Shower room was tiny. Full English breakfast at the sister Derby hotel was not good. Bacon overcooked and beans cold. Sausage not cooked enough. Eggs benedict were better.
