"Homely, Rustic Ufuk"

8.0

Ufuk Pension is very representative of the Goreme area. Tourism is the lifeblood of this area, and Ufuk does a good job of rising up to the challenge, which is indeed huge for the area. Ufuk provided a warm and homely welcome on arrival after a whole day travelling into Turkey with stops at Istanbul and Kayseri. And after an entire day touring the stunning natural wonders of the Cappadocia landscape, Ufuk was a reminder of the constant warmth provided by the archetypal cave-like dwelling hewn out of and nestled within the landscape, providing the same comfortable atmosphere regardless of the outside weather conditions, rain or shine. Its right off the Goreme road junction so provides accessibility, especially if you want to take a nice stroll around to see the sights of the centre of town. All this and more for a very affordable, truly charming, Turkish experience.

"Value for money in paradise"

8.0

Ufuk is a basic pension which is ideally located near the town. Everything is spotless although linen is rather 'tired. Our room had a great view and was airy and quiet. The staff were outstanding and went out of their way to accommodate the needs of their very varied group of guests.

"Best in Goreme"

10.0

Perfect little European style accom. Orhan and his family made us feel at home and couldn't do enough for us. Stayed at a couple of places in Goreme, but this was by far the best.

"Excellent services"

8.0

I must praise Ufuk's staff for their quality services. They are extremely friendly and polite people who tried to make sure our stay in Cappadocia is satisfactory. We drove a car there and although their parking space is limited, and they proactively came out to help our parking. Situated up a slope near the Goreme city centre round-about, a driver may easily miss it at the time of arrival but then the location is great once you found it. Love the breakfast which is served with great variety of food in a very cozy garden. Room was a bit old and dim but is acceptable for budget travelers like us.

"Good Place to stay for a couple of days!"

Very friendly staff, great breakfast!. I think it is perfect if you are planning to just go back to your room to sleep, there was no TV or radio. It worked for us becuase we just needed it a place to rest at night after walking all day.

"Wondeful hotel"

10.0

This hotel is wonderful! The owners are great people who made us feel right at home. They suggested us great restaurants, and the apple tea at breakfast is great! The price is very good, the hotel is located in Goreme, so close to the open air museum (we walked there) and to all restaurants and shops in the area. I had a cave room, it was very caratteristic and confortable, and the breakfast was continental with eggs, meat, veggies, marmalade and honey. I would go back anytime and I suggest it to everyone!!!

"Great for the $$"

10.0

The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Fate (sp?). He gave us directions to must see places and set up a shuttle to and from the hotel and airport (a must because the airports are far). The cave experience is like camping; sorry posh people! But for the rest of us who can rough it out a little, save your money and stay at the Ufuk.
