"10/10 Beyond our expectations"

This property is STUNNING. The interior is amazing, cosy, clean and classy. The staff weren’t just great, they were above and beyond. I don’t normally write reviews but this place deserves it. Also we climbed Snowdon and was going to go out for dinner, but was so tired we thought to just have dinner at the hotel. And we are SO glad we did! It was outrageous. Top top level food, flavours and service. On par with a high level Michelin star restaurant. We will be returning and recommending to friends and family.

I can’t fault this place. Maybe that there isn’t a gym? But honestly, when you stay somewhere this stunning, go work out in the amazing grounds and scenery. It would be silly to have gym here!

"Truly exceptional stay"

A lovely warm welcome on arrival from the very attentive staff was the start of a great 6 days. The hotel is in a lovely location with excellent views and my room was so comfortable - the bed and pillows get a special mention as well as the views from the bedroom whilst enjoying morning coffee.🙂 We ate in the restaurant and had a fantastic Sunday lunch as well as a dinner on our last night. The chef, kitchen and waiting staff really made the meal exceptional - delicious food and friendly service. We also enjoyed drinking the bar - nice and relaxing and in the winter with the fire on, I imagine it’s very cosy. Great place for a base to explore a beautiful area - the walks are fantastic.

The location might be too isolated for some guests as a car is needed to get around.

A thoroughly magical stay at Penmaenuchaf - dreamy grounds and gardens, stylish and beautifully appointed rooms and common areas, delicious breakfast, warm and welcoming staff… And the most adorable dogs :) Would rate this 11/10 if I could!

Might be good to have a slightly more casual evening dining option (currently only tasting menu or minimum 2-3 course a la carte if I’m not mistaken!)
