Hotel Maestral

The hotel itself was lovely in a beautiful location right on the waterfront. We stayed in the annex directly behind the hotel. While the annex was lovely in itself and perfectly clean we felt very much dislocated from the hotel and its facilities. All of the staff were really friendly, the breakfast lady and the evening waiter were especially brilliant. We ate at the restaurant on two nights opting for a simple supper of drinks and salad (delicious food albeit a bit on the pricy side) and it was no problem for us to sit at a non restaurant table (no tablecloths and wine glasses etc) we were served efficiently and really enjoyed whiling away our time overlooking the beautiful bay.

Our booking did not include breakfast and tourist tax which we found out upon arrival, an error on our part but clearly the reason the booking.com price was less expensive than booking directly through the hotel. The breakfast looked ok, usual continental style and nothing to write home about. Given the choice I would not stay in the annex again I would sooner stay at a private apartment which would be less expensive for the same kind of non-hotel experience, plus you’d have the benefit of a kitchen, a fridge and most likely, a private terrace. It was expensive for what we got even by Northern European standards!!

This has been such a magical stay. Filip is an excellent hotelier, discreet, laid back, helpful and attentive. The staff are brilliant too, we really hope to return.

Maybe have more breakfast options eg one full breakfast and one lighter one

We had a room with a sea view. The room is spacious with a bathroom. A lot of lights. Magic view. Owners are lovely couple and all staff is simply amazing. We felt really welcomed. Food is delicious. Location is perfect. The island is for those who want to really relax.

Really well maintained and beautiful hotel

Staff is super nice. Great hotel. It was a pleasant surprise to us that it is on an island. Just beware. Need to take a boat.
