Another amazing stay at Avli, the hospitality, attention to detail and friendliness of everyone, everyday is just outstanding. You are made to feel so at home and so welcome! Breakfast is paradise, tasty, beautiful to look at and in beautiful surroundings. The room is well equipped, very comfy beds, especially for Greece, beautiful bathrooms and all the little details like the fridge always having cold water, the internet and call device in the room, the little tasty treats left each morning! You have the hustle and bustle of the old town on your doorstep but once the door is closed it is an oasis of calm inside! You will not regret choosing to stay at Avli, it’s a little slice of heaven!

We stayed a week at Avli. Great room that lived up to the pictures. Superb central location with good restaurants all around (including Avli itself. Absolutely super staff who could not have been more pleasant and professional. Parking was straightforward - just a short walk to the Fortezza car park and at a very reasonable cost. The breakfast was superb, served in their lovely garden.

Hidden in the small streets of old town Rethymno this hotel is fabulous. The buildings are full of history and the rooms and restaurant are beautiful. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Perfect location to explore the whole of the town but quiet and peaceful at the same time

Nice room. I expected the rooftop jacuzzi which features prominently in the website and trip advisor to be full of water. there was no apology. Disappointing

I have visited Greece many times and I keep coming back for all the same reasons as make the Avli exceptional. Welcoming . Helpful , friendly, truly excellent food and accommodation in an exceptional setting. Step through the door and relax

Stayed here for five nights in a Junior Suite. The room was lovely with a large double bed. This room was facing the street and it was a bit noisy but that was the only drawback. Ask for a room away from the street. There are four houses and a wonderful courtyard which is part of the restaurant and where breakfast can be taken. The latter is excellent and the whole dining experience thoroughly enjoyable. The building we stayed in was well appointed with a jacuzzi on the roof. We met the owner who is a lovely lady and who arranged a day out for us by taxi, which proved to be a really good choice. Very conveniently situated to explore the old town and harbour. Would certainly go back again confidently.

We had a great experience here. The hospitality was unparalleled to any other hotel we have stayed at. Staff are personable, friendly, knowledgable, and happy to provide any recommendations to questions we had. The room was meticulous, well designed, and unique. Would highly recommend and the high rating achieved is well deserved.
