Waldhotel Wilhelmshöhe

The Hotel Staff was EXTREMELY friendly, and the food in the Hotel Restaurant was EXCELLENT; we enjoyed the luncheon buffet and the morning breakfast and did not depart hungry. We savored the BEST fresh, just-picked-from-the-forest mushroom soup I have EVER eaten (and that is 68 years' worth of eating). The bedroom size was adequate and the bathroom was modern with toilet, sink, and shower. The room had a wall of openable windows overlooking the garden-surrounded dining area below. The bed was VERY comfortable. The Hotel was decorated tastefully, and flowers were liberally placed in the public areas. By NO MEANS a negative comment, but of information only, the Hotel has no elevator, but the stairwell is wide and easily navigable with luggage.

Good restaurant, and Breakfast. Very cosy gasthaus.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel in nähe der Autobahn gelegen. Einfache und etwas hellhörige Zimmer. Das Essen im hauseigenen Restaurant ist gut. Keine wirklichen Highlights.

Nach einer gut zweistündigen Fahrt ereichten wir das Hotel am Freitagnachmittag gegen 15:30 Uhr. Wir besuchten das nahe gelegene Möbelhaus und aßen aufgrund des schönen Wetters draußen beim Hotel zu Abend. Am Samstag besuchten wir die Stadt Siegen und abends genossen wir die Kömödie "Pension Schöller" auf der Freudenberger Freilichtbühne. Sonntags führen wir durch das Sauerland auf Land- und Bundesstraßen wieder zurück nach Hause.

After a long drive in a new car from Calais, this was a welcome stopover. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff very friendly & helpful. The dinner & breakfast were both good. It is very close to E 40 but we heard no traffic noise. Plenty of parking.

We chose this hotel because it was convenient for the first night of our journey from the UK down to Austria. Perfect for this purpose. We had a very friendly welcome from the English-speaking owner and the hotel was typically German clean and the room had everything one needed. Very nice meal outside in the garden on a lovely warm evening. Although very close to the Motorway, there was no intruding noise to speak of and, indeed, after the meal, we were able to wander for an hour and a half in the meadows and woods next to the hotel. All completed by an excellent breakfast to get us underway the next morning. We'll use this hotel again on our route South.

Had to stay in this hilly town for an official work. The experience was great. Delicious breakfast, not a wide variety but definitely not less too. The caretaker and employees are pleasant and have a genuine attitude which made my stay there great.

We stayed in this hotel 4 days over Christmas. A family visit, 10 of us in total covering 3 generations. The hotel exceded all of our expectations with service, consideration,care and attention to detail. Rooms comfortable, smoke free and very quiet, despite our initial concerns. Free parking and WiFi. Bus stop with in 100mtrs. Food very good with catering for young children. Our host was most welcoming, helpful and made himself readily available. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay again
