Las Palmas Luxury Villas

We spent 12 nights at las palmas. It was our first time to Zihuatenejo and we weren’t disappointed with our choice. The room was as advertised and was cleaned for us daily so was always nice and clean and had a change of towels and linens regularly. Management were friendly and attentive when we needed anything. The restaurant was convenient but we like to cook our own meals so didn’t use it too much but was nice to be able to order drinks on the beach and the couple times we did eat the the food was good. There were great grocery stores in Zihuatenejo, we rented our own car so could tour around on our own. We always felt safe and had our two teenage kids with us. We did explore some of the dining options along playa Blanca which were always great and well priced. The beach at las Palmas isn’t great for swimming but is beautiful and quiet. Great for long walks, flying a kite or lounging in the beach loungers. You can drive to Barra de petosi and that beach is great for swimming and the lagoon is calm and shallow. We rented kayaks one day and explored the mangroves which was really fun. The town of Zihuatenejo was probably our favourite Mexican tourist town we have been to. People were really friendly and didn’t get hassled at all. Prices were reasonable and great restaurants to choose from. We also took a drive up to Troncones which was really nice and recommend for a day trip. Very happy we stayed at Las Palmas, keep in mind it’s very quiet here & away from crowds

Service was phenomenal. Felipe, Juan, Al, and every single staff member we encountered went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. Friendly and welcoming and so helpful. Bilingual. The villa was breathtaking, and we had the pools mostly to ourselves every day. Saw whales and dolphins at our beach.

Only complaint was the water in the showers never got very warm. The location is a bit out of the way, but it's so serene and private for that reason. Felt like our own private island.

Everyone there was amazing. It felt like we were the only ones there. Such a good value. Five minutes from the airport. Beautiful beach. Incredible food.

We could not sleep on the first night because of mosquitos, i'm not sure if the room has been cleaned. Because the sheets looked very tinty, I smell like dust. Also, lots of adds on two bathroom floor THERE WERE STOLEN ATTENDANTIS AT THE FRONT DESK UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING Find the later manager came over the next day, after I showed them and I complained about that shouldn't be the situation in a nice.Hotel, we spent five hundred dollars a night I was shocked by his answer. He said, this is normal.That's expected.What do I need to do about, i told him I need turn on client The sheets replaced addrespay the room wants & add funny coil to kill mosquitos. We can practice a room after breakfast. Everything was taken care of I said requested. There is no water in the room, either.We had to request it, also, they have him in the fridge, but I was empty. The restaurant staff are very nice, but they are very slow. I'm very forgetful. In many occasions, we have to remind them to bring the order, or salt & paper Sometimes they don't understand special request on some food. For example, I requested in my omelette.To make sure the onion will be extra walton.Sauteed onion Debrato omeletteAdd the onion was barely cooked, they put a fresh piece of onion on top of the unlid. It's like decoration The other meals do I think that day is heavy, tasty and well made.

The beach is not swimming, but it has been high tide

This place is really beautiful and well designed. Unfortunately we had issues with our suite. Many of the doors didn’t seal properly leaving sometimes a 1 inch gap to the outside. This led to many mosquitoes getting in the room and biting us while we tried to sleep. If you are worried about dengue or sika don’t come here because there is no way to keep mosquitoes out and no mosquito net on the bed. We told maintenance and they gave us raid and a mosquito racquet but didn’t really fix the issue. We had to buy tape and tape the gaps every night to help this issue. Sometime we killed up to 30 nosotros in the middle of the night. Also there were some maintenance issues we told them about but they also didn’t fix them. Shower head was broken and sink was clogged. Otherwise this place is paradise.

Love restaurant service- they were fantastic with their attention to detail and all around service! Always went above and beyond! Couldnt recommend them enough... Beach moderator and manager Hector and Francisco - due to this being a favorite area of nationals during the busy holiday time - we felt targeted becuz we were American (same rules didnt apply to all)

The villas were beautiful, the property grounds were well maintained and the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The beach was also beautiful. You can walk for miles!

1. Our villa (B9) could use some newer kitchen supplies. Pots and pans were very old, knives extremely dull and no larger bowls or serving platters if you wanted to make and serve a family meal. 2. The property is located on Playa Blanca. While great to be in a more secluded location, it is very far from town and shops. An average taxi ride into town is $30-40 CDN dollars. Be aware of this when booking. If you want a quiet and secluded getaway, this is a great place. If you need more to do (entertainment, restaurants etc) you may want to consider staying closer to town.
