"Great location by wineries"

8.0

Have stayed here twice based on the location for wine tasting. Love the Creekside room as it is very private w/ a peaceful view. The mattress felt too sunken in for me but not too bad. Very small tv if you like to watch it in your room. Other than that no complaints. There is a kitchenette if you want to bring some snacks. Never tried the breakfast so unable to comment...we brought our own.

"Very friendly, nice setting. Read the fine print. "

We booked our stay through Expedia, based on price and reviews of the breakfast. Unfortunately, we only got the bed: no breakfast. When we got there, we learned that breakfast was not included at the lower rate. It seems to me that this ought to have been specified. I had no way of knowing from the web site that I was paying a reduced rate, so I didn't even know I should ask if any amenities were excluded. The location and setting are great for exploring the hills. Amy, the proprietor, was a great source of information; but take notes... there is no way you can remember everything she tells you. There is no ATT service at the site; Verizon is weak but serviceable. There is wifi in the rooms. The television uses DirecTV. We were there during the NCAA championship, and Amy went out of her way to help us tune in. It demonstrates how good-natured and helpful she is. The bed in our room was very comfortable, but overall cleanliness of the room ( the floor, in particular) just barely met the acceptable level for us. Overall I think Expedia doesn't allow for you to ask the questions you need to ask, so I wouldn't book through them again.

"Unfriendly staff"

4.0

I really wanted to like this place, but the customer service really needs work. We made our reservation 2 months in advance clearly stating that we would be traveling with a child and a dog. Upon arrival the owner was really bothered and annoyed by our small dog and child, stating that Expedia had changed systems and that she was receiving incomplete reservation information lately and was not aware that our child and dog would be staying with us. I'm not sure why she hasn't been confirming reservation information with Expedia if she knows this is a recurring issue. She kept saying that there was another couple staying in the hotel and that during our stay we need to be quiet; we weren't even in the room yet mind you. Also why is this a dog friendly hotel if she has an issue with people bringing along their pets? In the morning she came to our room and without even saying a good morning, reminded me that other guests were sleeping and that I needed to be quiet even though we weren't making noise....no good morning, didn't acknowledge my 2 year old son, no smile, just really unfriendly. I have no problem respecting other guests or even the owner voicing her concern for the other guests, but I do expect to be asked and treated respectfully not like an inconvenience.

"Tranquility and comfort in an exquisite setting"

10.0

We stayed in the Creekside Room and it was excellent. Tom and Amy are wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were very good, one extraordinarily so. Fun to watch the birds and wild turkeys. Loved sitting on the porch, reading and enjoying the ambiance. Bed was super comfortable and there were nice touches everywhere. We plan to return as often as possible.

"Lovely B&B in the heart of wine country. "

8.0

Amy and Tom were darling hosts. We are so pleased to find this gem in Paso Robles!! We will indeed return and tell all our friends about this adorable inn. The rooms were stocked with so many little extras to make the stay more enjoyable. Amy greeted us each morning with a fabulous breakfast on our balcony. They had awesome suggestions for wine tours and tastings. The beds are so comfortable and we especially loved the fireplaces in each room, so romantic!!
