"Comfortable stay with great food"

We had a comfortable stay. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. It was a good location for exploring Surrey - Polsden Lacey and the Denbies wine estate are great local attractions.

The hotel does host weddings. While we were located in a nearby lodge, I can see that if you're in the main hotel you may find it more disruptive to have a disco blaring while you are trying to sleep. We were warned that these events were happening during our stay.

Leaving

The food I had in the bar when I arrived was really poor. I ordered fish and chips and the fish was just a chunk of greasy batter and a very small piece of fish inside the middle. Horrible I went to breakfast at 7am which was the published and confirmed by reception, start time. No staff, no food out. At 7.50am still no breakfast and I left the restaurant. I complained and the manager refunded my breakfast fee. No compensation, nothing! The staff and the management need changing otherwise this hotel will be out of business
