Hampton Inn and Suites Woodstock, Virginia

Was under renovation, but that does not excuse the non working ice machines, only second floor working. Out side the front door was covered in cigarette butts, appears to not have been cleaned in weeks. Thermostats in rooms do not work.

Great place to stay. Andrew was so incredibly helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great.

There was a lot of remodeling happening here . The room was clean butt a little worn.

This hotel should’ve let people know, right at hotels.com site, that they are under renovation. They should have closed it for a week and renovated a floor, then open it back up and let guests stay in that floor while they continue working on the rest of the hotel. We really felt our bed was too lumpy, and we were sneezing inside our rooms more than outdoors. Could be partially due to the fact there are now pets allowed in the hotel and all that dust. We should have stayed at the Holiday Inn next door.

The hotel is definitely in need of a spruce up, which they are currently undertaking. The signage to point you to the hotel is small and unlit, in comparison to the Holiday Inn sign which is quite large and illuminated. The room was fine, and will be remodeled soon. The bed was worn and a bit uncomfortable. The staff was indifferent and seemed to be serving time rather than in the mood to be helpful. The largest transgression was the fact on a Sunday morning of a holiday weekend the breakfast area was out of food by 0900. The breakfast itself runs from 0600-1000 and when we arrived at 0845, there was limited choices of everything. This was poor planning by someone in management and very disappointing from a Hilton property.

It was very clean and close to a lot a restaurants and stores. The guy at the front desk was great. Very friendly and personable. Breakfast was great and there was coffee available all day.

This is very minor and petty but the room set up was weird with the shelf in the middle of the room dividing it from the beds and living room. It was just a weird use of space but again minor and in no way effected our stay just never seen that before in a hotel.

So check in was really easy and quick, place is clean,my only complaint is the back side of the hotel is literally 50 yards from Interstate 81 and you can most definitely hear trucks all night long
