Uprising Beach Resort

Lovely spacious resort with beautiful grounds and huge, comfy bures. One of the best beachfront bars we have experienced and good for beach walks and relaxing.

Overall it was nice. The room is spacious, the garden is beautiful and the beach is very nice. My big disappointment is there was no bath tub in our villa. I double checked when I booked the resort and saw the picture. Other than that it was a quiet and relaxing stay.

There was no towels in the room no fan water was leaking from the air conditioner. My brother sip and fall outside the villa. Bed sheet was dirty, rooms was not clean well at all.

We stayed in the villas for two nights with our tour group. The villas have a nice terrace looking out on a garden and are very spacious and comfortable with a good bathroom. The light was very dim. I went for a swim in the sea and after that enjoyed to wash off the salt water with another swim in the pool. We ate dinner there one night and my fish was good. There is only Wifi in Reception (and Restaurant?). The bath towels were waiting for us in the room. Breakfast was good.

The restaurant food was not up to par. We ordered the chicken wrap with fries and burger with fries. The chicken wrap was burnt to a crisp. The menu says the wrap contains aioli sauce but there was no sauce on the wrap and the chicken was dry. The burger bun was not even toasted and the bun was soggy. The service was not great. I wouldn't eat at their restaurant again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Excellent choice in Pacific Harbour! I just stayed here with a group of 21 university students at the conclusion of a two-week trip around Fiji. The rooms are large, comfortable, and in an attractive setting, and the price point for these rooms is an excellent value. The restaurant/bar/pool area provides a delightful environment for relaxing during the day/evening, plus the various specials that they run every day make for a very affordable stay. Moana and the staff are very helpful. Prior to our arrival, they assisted me in adjusting my dates with no problem, and also reached out to me via whatsapp to see if our group would like to attend their Thursday Island Night/Fire Show (which we did and thoroughly enjoyed). Throughout our stay the staff was very warm and helpful, and assisted us with any particular needs we had. Uprising is also part of the Duavata collective, which promotes culturally and environmentally sensitive travel across Fiji. This was my first time staying at Uprising, and I am very glad that we did. In the future, I will continue to bring groups here, as it is a great base for the various activities (diving, tubing, golf, fishing, etc.) in the Pacific Harbour/Beqa area). Thank you to Moana and all the staff for providing such a wonderful stay for our group.

I loved the private hut-style rooms and the fire dancing on Sunday night. It seemed like we had the place to ourselves in the morning and then we saw others in the evenings. We loved the hammocks by the beach. Scuba diving was easily accessible by 5 min taxi.

This property shows off Fiji to all visitors, from friendly staff to beautiful landscaping . The ocean views of sunrises and sunsets are spectacular

I was very disappointed with my stay at Uprising. Upon arrival, it looked very promising. A beautiful location with some seemingly friendly staff, however that all changed very quickly. My friend I was travelling with was charged $50 to his card when he left his wallet at the bar for less than 3 minutes whilst he went to grab something from the dorm. All of the staff disputed this and said it wasn’t any of them, the Reception staff did look into it in detail to be fair to them, and found there was a discrepancy between their cash up from the night and the card receipts, proving that someone had most likely charged the card and taken the corresponding cash out of the till. The following morning, I had the big breakfast and I cannot believe how poor both the breakfast and service was. First off I ordered a black iced coffee. I do not drink milk nor cream, hence my order. I was brought over what looked like an iced latte. I explained that I wouldn’t be able to drink this as there was obviously milk or cream inside. The waitress took it back over and brought out a near identical drink the second time. It look a lot of discussion and back and forth to finally be served an iced black coffee on the third attempt. Secondly, when the big breakfast arrived, 90% of the items on the plate were stone cold. Cooked yes, but however many hours ago? I do not know. This is a real shame as I was aiming to extend my stay here by an extra 3 days and upgrade my room, however this will now not be happening due to the above and I would like to urge all who are booking here to think twice before they do.
