Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Syracuse Dewitt

Check in was easy as i had used the app. I got the room I had requested. staff seemed distracted and not particularly friendly. I was not offered my water bottles as normally I would get as a silver member. The room seemed fine- large enough and clean The fridge, microwave, etc were all OK. there were enough outlets for charging items. The bed was clean and comfortable. Oddly the large TV was positioned so it was not in line with either bed and it didn't swivel. the bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. Oddly the room was warm, but the hotel corridor was kept at about 50F. it was quite chilly walking in the hallway. the hotel was quiet enough. As is all too often the case, there was no computer available for guest use, only a printer which is no help if trying to use Google maps on something bigger than a phone. Breakfast was lame. They were out of waffle batter and the staff seemed more interested in talking on the phone than restocking the breakfast area. I never did get my waffle that day.

Very friendly staff breakfast was pretty good room size was good for two adults and two children easy check-in easy help from front desk when needed

Bathroom vent fan didn’t work and very evident it hadn’t worked for a long time peeling bubbling wallpaper cracked caulk joints bathroom fan looked slightly rusted grout on flooring definitely worn and could use an update

Good clean room and great water pressure for shower. People at desk were very nice and provided a tooth brush I forgot to pack. Pool was awesome kids loved it was shallow enough at one end for my young ones. Breakfast was awesome and my picky kids enjoyed it. The coffee was awesome one of my favorite things about Hampton inns is the coffee.
