Deeply Disappointed – A Disgrace to the Sheraton Brand Date of stay: June 7, 2025 Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Saskatoon for one night and paid over $200 for a room that left us feeling completely cheated. The condition of the hotel was shockingly poor and nowhere near the standards expected from a Sheraton-branded property. To begin with, the furniture in the room was extremely rundown. The writing desk chair was so worn out and damaged, it looked like something salvaged from a garage sale and should have been thrown out long ago. The sofa and side tables were equally shabby, giving the room an uninviting and neglected feel. It was genuinely uncomfortable to sit on any of the furniture. The bathroom was no better – several floor tiles were badly cracked, posing a safety hazard. It looked as though they could break further with the slightest pressure, which made using the bathroom feel unsafe and unsanitary. The condition of the public areas was equally disappointing. The carpet in the restaurant and other shared spaces was heavily stained and worn out, reflecting years of neglect. It’s hard to believe this property is still carrying the Sheraton name – it felt closer to a budget roadside motel than a reputable hotel chain. I’ve attached photos with this review to highlight the appalling state of the property. Great staff and service!

Big mistake: I didn't check Tripadvisor. I was in a hurry to book and we needed a hotel on the ring road. The other option nearby was from another hotel chain that starts with H, and I had had a not great experience at their Winnipeg Airport location last year. So I booked the Four Points. Reception: pleasant. Room: okay. Bathroom: grubby and worn out looking. Many broken and loose floor tiles. Only a shower but no shower caps. Fridge doesn't have a freezer and there's no place in the hotel that can store your cooler's freezer pack. No free breakfast. They suggest you can order your dinner from the Pink Cadillac restaurant downstairs and take it up to your room, but there is nowhere to eat it other than sitting on the bed. We eventually got a shower cap, but the best thing about our stay was in the restaurant: Maddy is one of the best servers we've ever encountered in our decades of travelling the world.

That noisy people during the night and next morning were not removed from the building.

The hotel was decent, beds very comfortable. Pool and hot tub were a weird colour and filled with kids late at night - nothing to do about that and it looked much cleaner in the morning. Not a fancy stay but very comfy sleep.

Staff needs to be trained on customer service. Water slides are NOT turned on when the sign says they are suppose to be. A lot of broken fixtures, including the emergency phone in the pool area. This is not one of the hotels we normally stay at but decided to try it. We will not be back.

I would seriously take a look at replacing the bed. In the room I was in the bed springs were shot and really uncomfortable. Based on that I would not recommend this hotel.
