Great location in town, with fabulous pool at sister property -short walk from hotel. Very nice stay.

Staff could be more accommodating

very elegant 19th century resort hotel. We had a 3rd floor corner room with a balcony overlooking the lake with tremendous views. breakfast on the terrace each morning was very good. An excellent location right across from the ferry boat docks and in front a large area of shopping and dining.

I always find parking for check in at a new unknown place a challenge, and this was one of the worst. Finally just parked in the busy street right out front to unload and check in. There are 2 hotels (different old buildings) next to each other that together froma common interest. we guessedwrong a to which was our reservation. after that hassle it was on excellent stay at this hotel (the red one, on the right. Right next to the church).

Breakfast was good

Hotel was fine although the room which overlooked the lake also overlooked a main road, and also from the main ferry port which was just across the road which was noisy at times. We had a strange noise occur within the room entrance which I initially reported on the Friday evening and nothing was done about it. The noise (strange sound like gushing water or air being released) again occurred on the Sunday night at 11pm and I called the night manager so they could hear and witness the problem, which appeared to come from within the wall. They agreed to move us to another room which was an upgrade for the last 2 nights which was good of them. It would of been helpful if the hotel had more information about things to do whilst in the lakes.
