Elk Mountain Lodge

Nice historic building in Crested Butte. Very friendly staff. Cozy rooms with windows that open (not like in a hotel) which was nice. Good breakfast.

Beautiful older home turned lodge. Spacious room with comfy bedding and nice bathroom. Lovely shared living space with full bar available for purchase.

We like that it was an old lovely house. Check in was easy.

We walked up a very steep long stairway and the railing only went 2/3 of the way up. Our room was extremely small and there was only one chair, no desk, not enough lighting, bed very uncomfortable, I expected better for over $300 dollars a night. The man at the desk seemed nice but spent lots of time with some people he knew and we didn't feel like we had an opportunity to to talk to him. The breakfast was just so so and we discovered the sign that said "Bus your own tables". Really? Overall, the atmosphere was pretentious, as well as the town.

Perfect location 2 short blocks from Elk Avenue. Breakfast is limited, but very successful, and they typically have wonderful freshly baked snacks throughout the day. Rooms and bathrooms are adequate and comfortable and entirely appropriate for an old boarding house from the 1890s! Staff was incredibly friendly. Would very happily return

This is an older building, so don't expect 5-star amenities. That being said, I will be back.

This was a lovely place to stay. Staff so friendly and helpful, they had a great breakfast and snacked in the evening. Many sitting places in the hotel to visit and gather. The Lodge is located right in town, so nice to walk to everything, yet very quiet. Would definitely stay here again! Donna

The towels were great: new and fluffy. The bed was not a Queen as advertised; it was a double. We were slightly late for breakfast and we’re rudely told breakfast was over so 9:00. We were not offered anything, even though bagels and a fruit tray were plainly visible. We will not return.
