Hotel Ynez

This room had no desk and no fridge- the basics were missing. I could never get on the internet which defeated my whole purpose of staying there to do some writing. Staff was uninterested in providing any service. There is no signage to tell people where to check in. I did not like anything about the place and felt it was overpriced and offered little to no amenities.

Bed is sooooo comfy!! Like a cloud!! Literally could’ve spent the whole trip in bed. However, if you like really firm beds then this is not for you. The staff was super friendly and super helpful. Loved all the amenities and easy parking.

Not happy with this hotel or staff. My room had no desk or fridge and I was given worst spot despite paying premium price and coming in fire storm. No signage in parking lot so had no idea where check in was doors were locked despite it being after 4. No help dragging luggage up gravel sidewalk. Bed soft and mushy. They obviously pay more attention to bring boho then to comfort and basic room requirements when you are paying this much. Wish I would have canceled. Everything over complicated and 0 service.

My brief stopover at Hotel Ynez left a lasting impression—I simply loved it! Despite booking last minute during a road trip, I received a warm and welcoming text from the front desk outlining after-hours protocols, which was especially comforting as a solo traveler. The room exceeded my expectations with its high quality and exceptionally comfortable bed. In the morning, exploring the grounds revealed Hotel Ynez to be a true gem, with its charming atmosphere and well-maintained surroundings. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and am eager to return. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Ynez!

Great quaint place. Close to downtown Solvang. Clean, great outdoor spaces. Staff is excellent! We will definitely return.

This is really a great place and a beautiful area. The motel has been completely renovated and is very on trend. Much set to appeal to millennials or gen z types. Shower in our room leaked badly across the floor no matter what we did. Also switch on lamp next to bed broken. Would be very easy to run a large bill on bar drinks and snacks provided at in room bar. Still waiting on my request for contact regarding mini bar charge when we didn’t take or use anything from the mini bar. This place has great potential. Very, very dog friendly.

It's generally difficult to find a good upper mid-range hotel in the USA. 2 and 3 star, yes, but meh. Then a big gap to 5 star and massive prices. But Hotel Ynez sits just nicely, a genuinely boutique hotel with a quirky feel, bang in the middle of wine country. Only improvement I'd suggest is maybe a centre-piece bar, but not much else. Nice place.

I really wanted to enjoy my stay at this beautiful property, but it just wasn’t possible with all the issues we experienced. There were many issues but I’ll state the most notable 1) there was a gardener blowing and cutting bushed directly outside our window for the entire Saturday (only full day we stayed) 2) the shower water does not stay hot and it would quickly and often turn ice cold in the middle of a shower 3) they allowed non guests to park in the parking lot because of a wedding party staying at the hotel which resulted in us and other hotel guests to find parking. Overall it was not conducive to a relaxing weekend. Oh, It should also be noted that while the property is beautiful, it is right by a busy road so it’s not quiet on the property. The staff was kind when we complained but ultimately I felt others trying to book should be aware.

Very cute hotel but leaky faucets, spiders in room, very uncomfortable bed, and the staff could be more on top of things 😌
