Hotel with great hospitality. Even though we were late by couple of minutes for check-in at the lounge Ms carrie trainee was very courteous and organised the best possible food she could with big smile. Also the following evening she surprised us with our favorite spicy chicken and vegetables again with big smile. Big thanks to her. Breakfast time Mr Lian was kind and served us very well , look after all our needs on both the days and very special thanks to Chef Jimmy who cooked wonderful sechwan style our favorite food. He looked after us very well. Lady at the reception was helpful. King request for assistance with luggage by the hotel staff at the entrance shall highly be appreciated. Looking forward to our next visit soon.

The hotel was new and very clean, the personnel were friendly and helpful.

There was no window, but there was an air purifier in the room which keep cleaning the air 24h, therefore we didn't feel stuffy.

Suzhou Marriott Hotel is located in the old town of Suzhou, about 2km away from Han Shan si, and close to other Suzhou attractions such as Hu Qiu. It is a bit far from the new district of Suzhou, which houses its high-tech industries. As a Bonvoy Titanium Elite, I was upgraded to a corner mini-suite, the room is spacious with nice view. I like the afternoon tea, the evening hors d’oeuvres, and the breakfast. The highlight is the sesame candy and the DIY glutinous rice balls in the breakfast.

Pros. - excellent service from all service teams - extraordinary breakfast buffet with all kinds of food choices particularly the fresh made local specialties - the lady from housekeeping at 33th floor was extremely great with heartfelt personal notes - fantastic view from high floors Cons. - the gym was good but the temperature was freezing like the most public areas (high ceilings?) - the wall between the rooms is poor and all the noises from neighbours was heard effortlessly
