The Five Arrows Hotel

Liked that it was centrally located in the town the breakfast was exceptional and the staff were very accommodating. Availability of parking was excellent.

We arrived around 5 in the afternoon on Tuesday and the reception was closed. Then we had to call a number to find out about our room details. It was a strange welcome to an unfamiliar place.

Location

Breakfast good. Terrible check in with ‘security’. Noisy room with road traffic noise all night. Green ceiling light shining in room all night. Poor lighting in bathroom. Difficult to regulate hot water in bathroom.

Friendly staff

Cost of the room for what you received was extremely poor. Way too overpriced and would never return based on that, despite having family and friends close by. Will seek alternative accommodation. Breakfast service was slow, has to ask for coffee three times, order from eggs is unusual. Maybe easier to just let people serve themselves then order eggs from there?

Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was really gd and lots of variety. Room was very spacious very clean . Would deafatlinty stay again

A wonderful older hotel and restaurant. I stayed in the tiny single room - this is not a complaint, it’s a great little room for one person. Some people in reviews have complained about road noise - they should be realistic about their expectations. It’s an old property right next to a road. If you are someone that’s sensitive to road noise

We had a lovely stay. The room was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The food and drink were excellent. The breakfast was very enjoyable. The staff were fantastic, really friendly and professional.
