Hotel Alpenblick

The location was good, good bathroom facilities and cleanliness was alright.

There was no fridge in the kitchen and it was very minimal, no where to put your food or to cook (other than a microwave and a kettle). Reception staff told me I could place food in their restaurants' kitchen but i could then only access it during reception hours (7-9 roughly). There is absolutely no security for you or your belongings. The door to our shared room didnt even shut properly and i was told there was no key, so unless you pay a deposit of $10 cash for a small locker (which will not hold your bags, just a few things) your belongings are fair game for the entire hostel (and anyone that can wander in in the daytime as its also a restaurant). The floor below us didnt even have doors, just a curtain. Thankfully there's a code to get into the hostel during the night, but with no night security staff, so there's nothing stopping people staying in other rooms coming into your room. If I were alone (as a female traveller) I would have checked out on the first day, I've never felt so unsafe in a hostel in my life.

breakfast (and the view with it) was good, although the same every day, toilets and shared facilities were impeccably clean despite the amount of people sharing them fantastic location, walkable to grindelwald station even without a bus, and within walking distance to the first and pfingstegg cable cars so you are able to catch the first cable car to beat the crowd the profile of travellers that this place brings together were also amazing ~

dormitory room was quite small and cramped. if all the beds were filled i wouldn't have anywhere to place my stuff. only cooking facilities available were a microwave and kettle, not even a fridge, which made me rely on going to coop before they close to get my meals. a little disappointing considering the price paid there was no key for the room but i still felt very safe nonetheless would benefit from having a bigger common area so the cramped dormitory is not the only place to chill

The staff was very rude behaviour, not sure for Indians they behave rudely, there is counter lady who wear socks she is really rude behaviour, we pay lot of money but no respect for guest , not polite I never received this hotel I never come this hotel again, just asked my wife how to use owen the staff was really rude behaviour this is not alll acceptable she should treat customer politely

Nice views, friendly staff. Warm showers, good breakfast buffet, dinner in the restaurant was delicious.

A bit farther from town if you are walking.

Čistučký , voňavý hotel , personál veľmi milý ...Raňajky fajn . Umiestnenie hotela perfektné či ste vlastným autom - hotel má vlastné parkovisko, alebo je priamo pred hotelom zastávka autobusov - ktorými sa premiestňujete zdarma ak ste hosťom hotela ... Lokalita hotela perfektna ako východiskový bod na rôzne výlety , s úžasnými výhľadmi na okolité hory , ktoré si užívate aj pri raňajkách priamo z reštaurácie ... ❤️
