Al Maha International Hotel

The Al Maha International Hotel is nice small place to relax. It is located in a central Muscat. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast is free but very lack-lustre and not that appetising. If they improve this, they have a nice little (cheap and cheerful) place. The swimming pool and the gym are good and the instructor there is very helpful. There are many inexpensive places to eat around this hotel. The main places being, The Indian restaurants, "Priyadarshini" (Opposite the hotel) and "Taste of India". If you fancy local cuisine, there are two Omani restaurants one is at the back of the hotel and the other is just 5 min. drive away. There is also an Iranian restaurant in the vicinity and Yemini restaurant (which is very good indeed) called Osna. All these restaurant offer tasty food at very inexpensive prices. The quantities of food served are huge and one struggles to finish the meal fully. If you are going that way, enjoy the cuisine.

Bathroom in need of refurbishment, breakfast very basic, reasonable room rate for the area

relatively comfortable; well-maintained room though a bit worn-out. conveniently located to most areas one wants to go to i.e. convenience store, etc.

Over-night in Muscat at the end of a two week stay in Oman. The hotel was reasonably close to the airport (15 minute by taxi). It is close to the Grand Mosque in a very suburban neighbourhood. Large room and bathroom with comfortable bed. Unfortunately the pool was out of action. Was looking forward to a dip as it was 40C. Breakfast was very average.

This hotel represents great value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable, as are the beds, linen clean and good quality, super walk-in shower, noisy A/C. Cosy roof-top pool area. Breakfast extremely basic, no fresh juices, one choice of cereal and limited daily cooked choice - disappointing start to the day. Friendly, efficient staff, free car parking available.

Stayed 2 nights and was very satisfied, no complaints. Large, clean rooms, huge bathrooms. Wi-Fi worked fairly well but was a little slow at times. Buffet breakfast was limited in choice but quite tasty. Pool was on the small side but fine for a dip.

Parking can be hassle after 6 pm. A place to sleep.

Its a nice hotel - although improvements are needed. Can be considered for a stay for short term (at the most 3-4 nights).

The wifi was not good...The wifi was getting connected only at certain spots...even there the signal strength wasn't good...The breakfast was just ok.....not that great...had same items everyday and taste was just ok. ..But overall if these 2 facilities don't really matter the hotel was quite comfortable, decent,clean hotel...The hotel is close to grand mall of muscat, sultan qaboos street and easy to travel around in muscat.
