Hintlesham Hall Hotel

Nice hotel, clean. Breakfast was excellent. Bathroom was a little dated, the shower flow was poor and temperature control inconsistent. It was obvious from looking at the fire escape map and seeing inside other rooms where the door had been left open, that we were given a very basic room. The hotel was nearly empty, but despite the fact we were there for several nights, there was no generosity shown. A word of warning. If you are given the "Steamers" or "Carnival" room, you will be above the reception and the entrance door slams with a loud bang on every arrival and departure. Fortunately for us the hotel did not have many guests.

Food was great but the rooms are dated bathroom need updating and not really a spa on site just massage and nails

We had a lovely one night stay at the property. The food in the restaurant was spectacular both at dinner and breakfast. The staff are all so friendly and down to earth. We stayed in a principal double and the room was spacious, spotless and very quiet. We enjoyed it so much, we booked to stay again as soon as arrived home!

The person who gave it 4 stars did not stay in my room. The carpet was filthy, covered in stains and obvious dirt from time, not recently cleaned. There was a hardened biscuit stuck to one of the coffee cups. It came off when I scratched it. I have a picture. I left feedback and have not heard from them at all so posting this. A refund would be good as I was very disappointed for a 4 star rated hotel.

i am asked to give opinion of the Hintlesham Hall Hotel based upon a one night stay with my wife. We were there for lunch on the 1st January but were unable to check in until after 3pm which is rather late especially when check out is no later than 11am. The lunch food and service was very good. Upon arrival to our Superior Room, which was nice and cosy, the heating was off and a small electric heater was in the room to compensate. Heating is timed with little consideration to the weather. There was a separate WC in the same hallway to the bathroom. The WC had no wash hand basin and to wash after going to the toilet and one has to go to the bathroom. I recommend upon the basis of hygiene that a hand basin be fitted in the separate WC. Certainly we would return to the Hotel for short breaks and will be lunching there on the 14th January with friends to celebrate my birthday so given the minimal criticism I would recommend the Hotel for it's welcoming charm, good food and excellent service. If we stay there again, which is very likely, I would favour an alternative room to Rialto and one similar to the room shown in the advertisement of Superior Rooms and facing to the front of the Hotel.

Staying here is a little taster of opulence, and to wander around the rooms is like a small tour of a stately home. The only complaint we had was that it was overheated!

I could not recommend Hintlesham enough, from the staff, to the appointment of the rooms, to the location and a magnificent menu for dinner, not to forget the Spa. I had a wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel with fantastic facilities and excellent staff. Dinner was delicious. However, it was very noisy all night with chairs being moved (possibly by the cleaning staff) so sadly I could not recommend this hotel (the noise was definitely not other guests and went from around 10pm until 5am on and off).
