The room was absolutely beautiful. Truly stunning. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the added breakfast extras were great!

The rooms are very nice. The bed is good, the bathroom was large and well equipped, and everything is very clean. The bowl of snacks and the milk is a nice touch. Towel swans are a bit last week these days.

None of the 87 photos makes it clear that there is another set of 12 steps up to the house in addition to those close to the house. There is a sentence in the advertising saying that because of the age of the property there are no accessibility modifications, but without knowing what it is you have to access until you arrive (the 12 plus 6 steps) the information isn’t very helpful. There is also no hint that there is no reception, and particularly no one about to help you with your bag up these steps as well as the internal stairs if you are on the first floor (which we were). So two old women, one disabled, had to lug their case up two flights of steps/stairs with some difficulty. Had we known this we probably wouldn’t have stayed here. The accommodation needs to be much more transparent about this. Being less than clear about it in the advertising is very old fashioned and not what people want these days. We were aware that there was self check-in but that doesn’t automatically mean that there is no one about to help. Also, we stayed two nights and no one serviced our room. You seem to have to guess what’s going to happen here as we didn’t interact with any staff at all, except for a cleaner who asked us if we were checking in on the second day of our stay. And finally I thought I had booked breakfast, turns out I hadn’t, but when it was confirmed a day or two before that I hadn’t I was offered no option to book it then. We got a sense of plenty of effort being made over the room but didn’t really feel welcome

The apartment is stunning, there's loads of room, the bed was very comfy, there was everything you need for a short stay. The breakfast hamper is a lovely touch and the milk left in the fridge was appreciated. Self check in was simple. Spa & sauna are just the icing on the cake really. We would definitely recommend staying here.
