Hotel Kastraki

Perfect location to stay to visit one of the most amazing places on earth. The hotel is clean and has a very good breakfast with a large selection. The staff is friendly and helpful.

It was fine for a one night stay to visit Meteora. It would not be so good for longer stays. Only issue was the shower ( curtain only) so hard to avoid water spillage

It was very closed to the monasteries and very accommodating to move around the town

Well run and comfortable hotel. Everything worked (e.g., air con, water pressure), and the staff had a military efficiency; obviously, the boss was a tough cookie ; ) The room was spacious and had a nice little balcony. One recommendation: a coffee maker in the room, like most of the other hotels we stayed at in Greece in this price range, or at least a free coffee service in the lobby; it would have been so nice for so little.

Me and my wife stayed one night at this hotel. It is very well located if you intend to visit Meteora's impressive monasteries as we did. The hotel has a solid classic design. It is clean, well maintained and the staff is excellent: professional, polite and willing to help and give advice.

Overall, the hotel is great. Really great location - very close to Meteora and the staff is helpful. This is not in the center of the city so if a more active local scene is desired, this is not the spot for that. The biggest frustration was the bed - it was very very hard and incredibly inconvenient to sleep on. We had a very hard time sleeping and woke up with back pain. Not sure if this is in all the rooms but this was def. the biggest issue. If the mattresses are swapped, this place would be amazing.

Our family stayed in hotel Kastraki only one night and we were very pleased with our choice. Although our room was on a (very) small side – the décor of the room and the hotel was ..classy yet modern yet traditional.. A very nice combination! Luck of space could be due to “triple-occupancy” room: we had one king and one twin bed for our teenager. Very comfortable beds (we were starting to get used to firm simple beds in other typical Greek hotels and boom, the bedding was real heaven and it was hard to wake up and leave those beds in the morning! :)) Very nice spacious washroom, great Wifi and plenty of parking on both side of the hotel! The location of the hotel is fantastic in proximity to Monasteries, and in our opinion to be situated in Kastraki was much more pleasant than in a busy Kalambaka. Staff was very pleasant and informative and gave us plenty of suggestions on what to do and better ways to do it which helped us to maximize our time we spent in the area. “Continental” Breakfast was amazing (not sure if “continental” is correct word to describe hot and cold breakfast dishes, enormous variety of pastries and homemade pies, as well as yogurt, spreads, cheeses, fruits and etc) - incredible selection for any taste! It is a lovely and well managed hotel, perfectly positioned to explore Meteora, a great place to get a peaceful rest and good nigh sleep after busy day(s) and a perfect start for the next day with their superb breakfast!
